The Retro Fudge Bar

It's a very beautiful place with few catchy things on their shelves😍😍. It's a decent size space for dine-ins. We did not expected food to be soo great as it was just a casual plan to go to the place. We ordered Egg mushroom and Chicken mushroom as you can see in the photos with not much of a difference while seeing but it actually tastes a whole different. Give it a try and you'll love this place. In the drinks we had Chai Latte and Oreo shake which were also good. Loved this place and will not mind going back again.🙂🙂

The Retro Fudge Bar is one of my favourite cafes in Hobart.
It is beautiful and chic! A nice relaxing atmosphere with top, friendly service.
Interesting and delicious selection of food and drink to choose from including dumplings with the special spicy sauce and Japanese matcha green tea.
I always order my cappuccinos and almond croissants from here, not to mention the selection of homemade fudge to try are an excellent dessert treat or gift to share!

Lovely place with delightful ambiance. Was completely empty when my friend and I went there, save for one server, who let us know we could try the fudge for free. I had a hard time choosing between their lemon fudge and their award-winning Turkish fudge, but went with the latter, and I’m so glad I did! It’s delicious and good value for price. I’d definitely like to come here again.

The service and dumplings were amazing!! Our server was very nice and offered us popular flavours of fudge to try. The dumplings were juicy, tender and fresh, the atmosphere was cute and relaxing and the music was not too loud. They weren’t skimpy with the whipped cream on the milkshake either. Wonderful!

I am writing this review because of the very hospitable staff. Nice behaviour and very good vibes. I am not a big fan of fudge so I wont rate on that but I appreciate their customer service. Thanks.

The coffee is simply delicious. Milk done to perfection. I love the decor and the music. A warm, welcoming little cafe. The staff are really excellent and kind. I'm looking forward to a comprehensive sampling of their menu next week - some traditional cafe foods and Asian fusion going on there so very much looking forward to this.

This place is the hidden gem of coffee shops in Hobart. Those that go here already know what I am talking about, and those that don't are yet to discover the beautiful atmosphere and best coffee in Hobart that the Retro Fudge Bar offers. From the moment you walk in the ambiance melts over you with the soft music and gentle blue pastel wall backdrop. The feeling is so relaxing and comfortable it's just beautiful. The girls are very friendly and helpful and attentive, offering water while you wait for food or just to decide on what coffee or tea you would like. The coffee in my opinion is the best I've had anywhere and I've tried all the other popular places here and many in Sydney too. The food is gorgeous and my favorite is the scrambled eggs with chilli mayo, it's absolutely spot on and a good feed for the very reasonable price! I honestly can't recommend this place enough to anyone that appreciates great coffee and that's not even talking about the fudge! After all it is the Fudge bar, the fudge is delightful and such a treat! The girls make it all on site and offer about 10 flavors with Turkish delight and Mocha being my favorites. If you have a free moment or just want a coffee before or after visiting the library here on Murray st then treat yourself to the best coffee in hobart and the sweetest and most helpful staff and visit the Retro Fudge Bar.

Great service and good food. Nice decor too

I went there earlier today with my partner, mother in law and sister in law and the girl serving us (Poppy) was so kind and generous, she let us try everything we wanted, she gave us water, there was so pressure to buy, just kindness and sweetness. That enough would be enough for a great rating, but the fudge? THE FUDGE?!

Delicious, partner and I got 7 because we couldn't narrow it down, they were all fantastic. I'm eating some Turkish delight right now and wishing I was a local so I could go back.

A must see for any sweet tooth and anyone who loves cute little retro decorated places..totally charming, incredibly sweet and very kind! Couldn't ask for more.

This cafe is my go to for coffee. It boast a cutie atmosphere and lovely staff (and not to mention their to-die-for fudge). I always take my friends here in order to share the word around as I’m sure this is one of the best cafes in Hobart.

Sweet little cafe with quirky decor. The lady who served us was lovely. Milkshake, chai latte and chicken toastie were delicious :-)

These guys are so nice and the fudge is delicious! They let us try a few flavours before buying. Highly recommend stopping in. Going back to try the waffles soon!
