Lighthouse Cafe Port Douglas

If you're looking for a cafe that ticks all the boxes then look no further.

Friendly service, ocean views, reasonable prices, generous portion sizes, attentive wait staff and most of all, scrumptious food.

I tried the steak sandwich and was not disappointed. A hunger-taming portion of deliciously tender rump complimented by the perfect balance of salads, cheese, and condiments between two thick slices of robust, pan-fried bread and served with some of the best beer battered chips I've ever had.

My wife tried the eggs benedict which was beautifully presented and featured a deliciously yellow, creamy, obviously house-made hollondaise.

Really nice food and coffee in a gorgeous spot right next to the beach. Definitely recommend for a relaxed brekkie after a morning stroll!

Four mile beach cafe so convenience just walk from the beach and grab some drinks and meals. Great service and views...

You know, this is — excuse me — a damn fine Hippy Bowl! … Now, I ate the bowl with bacon. I know, don't tell me, but they were out of chickpeas. The dressing, amazing. The roasted capsicum - great! And, the Shakerato, just the way I like it: cool, sweet and strong.

We had a good breakfast here after arriving from Cairns early in the morning. The restaurant is located directly at the beach, almost in front of the lifeguard protected swimming area in Port Douglas. The breakfast they serve here is some kind of special, because it's a bit of a fusion of Mexican style and Australien breakfast, eg there are burritos or rancheros

Great Staff and excellent food and coffee. It’s right next to the beach!

Coffee is one of my favourite breakfast items, and I'm quite fussy when it comes to what I want.
I was very pleased to find they had 2 sizes of cups
Both looked quite big, but I chose the biggest.
A flat white for me and a cappuccino for my wife.
Coffee came out very quickly, nice and hot, rich and full

My wife had a brekky burrito
Very delicious
Staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem
I parked my bike on the foot path and it was all good
A view of the ocean, great coffee and food, perfect breakfast

Wonderful little cafe. Nice lunch options. Our fish salad was delicious and a beef burger from homemade patty. Tasty coffee.

Coffee and smoothies were awesome and the Breakfast was delicious and amazing value.
All of this with some of the best customer service we have had in Port Douglas.
So sorry to have only found this place on next to our last day, we will be back

Just spent 2 weeks in Port Douglas and had breakfast at this cafe at least 6 times during our stay. Great coffee and food, in particular the Huevos Rancheros with spiced beans! Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location right by the beach is wonderful. Can't wait to return!

Great breakfast food and friendly staff

This is a really nice outdoor cafe right by the beach. The Cuban toastie was Great! Also tried the hippie bowl which was a really tasty healthy option. The pace was a little slower than usual, but that's alright since you're by the beach and you can just watch the waves roll. They also had really good coffee, the cappuccino is a must try!

Love this perfectly located cafe right off the beach. Great quality produce, wonderful smiley staff, healthy serves with awesome variety on the menu. Our go-to cafe in paradise.

Great place. Kind staff and great value for money. The beach is across the road so its a perfect lunch spot. Fish is fresh and fantastic. Sandwiches are delicious and bacon is very crisp.

Worth a stop for lunch if you are enjoying the beach for the day. Portions were generous! We had the Caesar salad with chicken and the hippie bowl (it may sound like an odd combo but it was tasty and worth it...no bikini bloat 😉) try the Lighthouse ginger beer (alcoholic)...perfect on ice and lime on a hot day!

Best coffee we've found in Port Douglas. Great location far better than McCrossin St. Even on a rainy day. Good omelettes too, though nothing beats one made with my girls' home grow eggs!

The breakfast I had is some kind of cuisine fusion food; a mixture of Mexican and Australian.
Real good combination of both. I really recommend this place to enjoy your first meal of the day.
