Great cafe in the city of Hobart. Lots of seating outside and a small amount indoors downstairs and more upstairs. Great menu with lots of choices. Service is very attentive and coffee very good. When you ask for extra hot that is exactly what you get. I had the hotcakes which were delicious and presented beautifully. My partner enjoyed the bruschetta which was also beautifully presented and very tasty. A small selection of cakes available. They are open for breakfast , lunch and dinner and offer quite an array of pizzas. Definitely worth a try.

The pancakes were amazing!!! Loved the setting that they didn’t put all the syrup and cream on too and you can eat it how you like. It got crowded when I got there at 11am but glad I managed to get a table outside over looking the habour!

Absolutely thrilled with our dining experience—impeccable customer service, a divine "Breakfast Bruschetta," and delightful pancakes left an indelible mark. Should my travels bring me back to Hobart, revisiting this gem is a must.
Wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in the area.

Our first meal in Hobart this trip and we think we've peaked early! Both scallop meals we had were outstanding. The service was great and the price was very reasonable. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Brilliant service. Best eggs Benedict I’ve had. Absolutely delicious and plentiful. We sat upstairs on Sunday morning and whilst a little noisy it was served in a timely manner and efficiently. Would definitely visit again.

The food was incredible and staff was so friendly. I made friends with one of the employees and she was so accommodating seeing as though I was a solo traveller. I definitely recommend this place for brekky, lunch and dinner!!

Great location and great food. We ordered bacon eggs benedict and salmon eggs benedic for our breakfast. Service was awesome and staff are helpful, quick, and kind. Unfortunately my partner found a hair on his salmon eggs benedict which obviously not his hair. But it’s not a big deal

Absolutely loved this little restaurant, the customer service was on point. "The Rock" Pizza was absolutely divine and the salmon was absolutely delicious. Would come again if we weren't travelling. Would recommend anyone who is in the area.

Let me tell you….
There’s nothing better than to start the day with a delicious breakfast!!!!, 4 of us are coeliac but this was not an issue at Harbour Lights Cafe, au contraire!!! There was a range of gluten free options, we ate what we wanted not what we could, the service was very good as well. Thank you all!!!!

I had a tasty lunch here, recommend the Tassie salmon, prosciutto and pea puree which is great. Nice laid-back atmosphere, good view to the harbour with reasonable price. Would come back next time.

Right near the wharf. I ordered the Bacon Melt with added Haloumi. It was amazing and well priced for the location. I wish I knew it at the start of my trip, I would have come for breakfast daily.

Great service, food was excellent. My very minor nit-pick would be that the crust of my pizza was a little overcooked one one half. But that really was my only extremely minor issue.

Highly recommended! We will definitely return.

Just follow the crowd!

Walking through the wharfs early in the
Morning we saw a packed cafe, all 6 tables out in the street fully occupied. Walked in and found that they have an upstairs dining area as well. The breakfast turned out to be awesome.

We climbed the winding stairs and ordered the big breakfast and the salmon and egg toast. Excellent food and fast service. This is a non nonsense cafe.

Highly recommended!!

Excellent breakfast spot. We liked all the meals and drinks we ordered. It's a nice location with views (I suggest a reservation if you want a table with views). We were surprised by just how quickly the drinks arrived with the meals hot on their heels despite being quite busy. The only negative was that it was really quite noisy inside
..but I didn't remove a star as the noise seemed to be mostly due to a table with boisterous kids.... perhaps it's not always noisy!

The food here is unreal. We had the bacon Benedict and pancakes. The bacon was delicious, the bread not too crispy, the eggs cooked well and high quality produce and the sauce was well balanced not too rich. The pancakes were amazing, I don’t know what on earth that syrup was but it was so tasty. All the side paired well and the pancakes were cooked beautifully.
Service is friendly and coffee is good. Highly recommend.

Still the best Caesar Salad I've had. Grilled chicken & optional anchovies, yes please!

Super lovely restaurant, we visited on a whim for dinner since other places were booked out. Ordered a pizza and risotto — the crust was thin and the dipping sauce was a good touch, and the risotto was flavourful & balanced with a touch of freshness from the peas. Definitely recommend a visit if you’re paying a visit to Hobart, be warned that breakfast time is pretty busy, but the high rating is definitely accurate.

Stumbled upon here after a late flight arrival and lucked into a delicious pizza and chips, the chips were fantastic! Fast friendly service and plenty of heated outdoor seating. Kids will love the spiral staircase to the upstairs sitting area!

This was my go to for coffee every morning whilst staying in Hobart. Not only was it right across the road from the Harbour, it was central and pretty much was open every morning from 6.30am(accept Saturday and Sunday 7am) which was an absolute plus. Fab coffee, lovely outdoor tables setting and also I could charge my phone across from the counter beside the stools. One day I had eggs Benedict which was delicious. Attentive and friendly staff. Loved the background music. And noticed they so do evening meals. Definitely would go back here if I was in town again.
