Lychee Tree Holiday Apartments

This is a well-run, simple but sufficient place to stay in Port Douglas. The management is friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The pool area is surprisingly inviting and the location is ideal as you are able to easily access both the marina and 4 mile beach. Great option for a family of four.

Very welcoming and friendly management, property and amenities kept to a high standard. Pool was lovely and relaxing, I enjoyed the cooler temp of the water and plenty of areas to relax and take the serenity in. There was no noise disturbances or issues at all. Overall a wonderful stay and we will definitely return next year!

A great resort this! Recently renovated facilities and new friendly managers on site who sort out issues, this place was a fantastic spot to stay with our family! The pool has varied depths suited to toddlers up to any age, with a great bbq/outdoor dining spot adjacent. Rooms were tastefully decorated and furnished, and had everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. When back in Port Douglas we'd definitely come again. Highly recommend!

The Lychee Tree is an amazing, cost effective and beautiful place. When we come back to Port Douglas we will 100% book here again. Due to a very early flight arrival in Cairns, we arrived in Port Douglas around 3 hours before check-in time. A quick message to Ed asking if we could leave our bags at the apartments resulted in us getting a check-in at 12pm instead of 2pm. Leo at the front desk is not only vibrant and friendly, he is very helpful and knowledgeable of things to do, transport, and even offering to book things for us for sake of ease. The pool area is delightful especially on sunny days, and the BBQ area is spacious, clean and the table is large - plenty of space for a family to enjoy a BBQ by the pool. The apartment is beautiful, and self-contained. A fully functional kitchen saved us a lot of money from eating out. There is also a washing machine to keep clothes fresh so no need to pack more than necessary for longer stays. Could not recommend this place enough and can’t wait to come back

We booked the 'Superior One Bedroom Apartment' option for our stay.

The apartment was great and fit our needs well with kitchen and laundry facilities.

The grounds are very nice with nice gardens for a real holiday feel and an excellent pool which we took advantage of nearly everything afternoon.

There's several cheap shuttle bus services that service the area which made getting to the town centre easy ($7 return for 2 adults). These were found in the welcome pack provided when checking in and were very helpful. We also used some 10% off vouchers provided for a few different attractions during our holiday.

A great little find on our holiday. Really nice location, reasonably basic but very clean and presentable apartment with everything we needed at a very good price. Included a shared pool which we used everyday. Recommended!

A lovely place. Our apartment was spotlessly clean with tea coffee and milk to tide us over until we could shop. The kitchen was fully equipped and the bathroom had sample sizes of toiletries. The pool was very clean and tidy with a barbecue area.
Quite a stroll to town but local taxis are only a couple of dollars. The beach is less than 10 minutes walk.
New owners are charming and very helpful. I would return in a flash if I could.

Our welcome was very friendly. The two-bedroom apartment was very clean and spacious. It had everything needed - comfy beds; washer, dryer, clothes airer; very large shower; fully equipped kitchenette with full size fridge / freezer and free standing stove and oven; dining room table inside and 4 seat table outside. We were given plenty of linen for our stay, along with a beach / pool towel. The apartment was fully air conditioned, but all the windows and doors could be opened with fly / security screens fitted if natural air was needed. We parked our vehicle undercover, as with most of the complex. There is access to DVD's and a book library. A large pool and BBQ area is within the complex, complete with toilet facilities and a small child play area. There were also a few visitor parks should you with to invite some guests around for a drink / dinner. The owners also provide a tour booking service, with pickup from the property. Yes, it's very short drive to the main street, but that good for noise and easy parking and it makes for a better room rate as well. There is a very nice restaurant a very, very short walk away, as is a bottle shop. Four Mile Beach was a less than 5 minutes walk away using a shortcut, most of which was under the shade of trees. There is a large supermarket in the main street and we stocked up on some groceries for our stay so we could cook some of our own meals. Definitely will return again.

Fantastic! We stayed here over Christmas and New Years and were very happy with the apartment and the facilities. The on site managers were very helpful and eager to attend to all our needs and concerns. We have stayed at many places in Port Douglas but Lychee Tree Apartments has been one of the best. Its very close to the centre and Marina and the pool and BBQ is an extra bonus. I highly recommend staying here in your next visit to Port Douglas!

Great location. The swimming pool is well located according to the sun light there are toys for the kids. Good bbq place. Perfect for families. Parking is next to or under the unit. The apartment we booked was only for two people. Really comfortable. The look is nice, you can tell is an old structure that is well kept. Room air con a bit noisy

City center walking distance 15 min. Mind blowing Beach 5-7 min. Away.

Stayed here from 23rd to 28th of December 2019.
Location wise was a convenient spot, easy access to the the beach & town.

Apartment was specious & clean with good amenities for a comfortable stay.

The highlight for our stay was the owners were professional, approachable & went out of the way to make our experience here a valued one.
Would highly recommend this place.

My husband and I loved it here. The room was spacious and extremely well done inside. The kitchen utensils were very good quantity. The outdoor area was extremely clean everywhere. Edward and Leo were really helpful and friendly. 5 stars for this place

Quiet, relaxing, peaceful holiday location. My family of 4 enjoyed every minute of our time at the Lychee Tree. The well appointed self contained 2 bedroom unit was exceptional clean on arrival, we were able to check in late after a long drive which made things low stress. Pool area has plenty of room and the BBQ setup is ideal for cooking out. If you are looking for an affordable well catered holiday for your family the Lychee Tree is the ideal getaway. We will be back for sure !

Great place, wife and I booked 3 nights in Dec 2019 and added another because place and PD are so good.

Room was spacious, fully equipped and spotlessly clean.

Unlike many small places Edward mans reception for most of the day, friendly and full of helpful advice.

Would happily stay again.

No catering but who needs it with so many options close by.

Definitely one of the best places in Port Douglas! Super friendly & helpful owners, relaxing pool and barbecue area, well thought and spacious apartments, really quiet location, good mattresses, all the kitchen amenities you need, good quality price ratio -> all the ingredients that made our stay perfect!

Recently spent a week at Lychee tree. Room was clean and well equipped with essentials needed for a week away. Pool and landscape gardens were lovely. Edward and leo were very friendly and accomomadating. Will return and recommend to family and friends.

Hosts were friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed in room 1. Apartment was very clean, comfortable and updated. Had its own carport. Pool was 3 apartments away.

We are currently staying at Lychee Tree, it is a quiet and beautiful spot, convenient to beach and a short drive or good walk into town. Apartment is lovely and clean and Leo and Edward are great, very helpful and friendly.
