The Lane Vineyard

We celebrated 20 years with the harvest lunch menu. The cured fish (trout), fish of the day - snapper with crab and greens and the venison tartare were stand out dishes. Wine is always on point. Autumnal views, company and service completed a stunning day.

We booked the chef’s table for just 2 of us. We have been to many fine dining restaurants, so we can have certain fair comparison. The whole experience was so fantastic for just $295 per person with all the wines and drinks included. 7 course tasting menu includes 5 savory courses and 2 deserts. All the savory courses are just so beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. However, we wish the meal could end at stronger sweet note. Don’t get me wrong. Both deserts were good but just lacked in surprise elements as savory courses, which made us wondering if there will be more coming to the table?! Would recommend the desert chef to add more diverse options and maybe throw in petit 4 in the end. Overall, chef’s table is highly recommended and we would definitely come back while in Adelaide.

The food, service and the place was excellent. We had the 5 course menu and it was absolutely worth it. Thier wines are good as well. My partner knows how picky I am when it comes to fine dining experience and I am so thankful he found this place. It was the first time we left the place with oversatisfying experience.

Compliments to the chefs, management, and the front staff. You are all amazing of giving us a very wonderful experience and definitely we will be coming back.

We were recommended The lane Vineyard by my wife’s boss unfortunately we had other lunch booking and missed out on the food aspect of the tasting but the people sitting next to us had the upgraded gourmet food and wine pairing it looked divine I could almost taste it a definite for next visit . The wine tasting was a beautiful selection of cool climate wines crisp and citrus the whites and the Pinot Noir were vibrant and smooth easy drinking . Can also recommend this place .

We came here to celebrate our anniversary. The experience was 10/10! The view, food, wine and especially the outstanding service by Jorgie ( I hope I spell it right!) She explained everything so well and very welcoming from the min we stepped into the door! There are so many great restaurants out there but a warm hearted servicing like this absolutely a bonus. She defo is a keeper! Food are very delicate and you can tell all the details worked hard from the kitchen team! The sorbet was definitely the highlight of the lunch! Jorgie said that is made from the signature sparkling wine and oh yeah! The freshness just perfect for the 42 degrees yesterday.
We picked few wines to go with the dishes too, my favourite was pinot Blanc, not something you can always have.

The whole experience was perfect and we definitely come back next time. You guys are definitely well deserved the chef hat title! Thank you so much for giving us such a memorable anniversary celebration experience.

We did the Gathering experience. 5 wines matched with little appetiser treats. Every single one was delicious (I loved the octopus) and sampling some wines I mightn’t normally buy led me to changing my regular order. A great experience.

We enjoyed every minute of our Chefs Experience at The Lane Vineyard. The staff were welcoming, the head chef was generous with his time.
Every course was a treat to the eyes and the taste buds. It just got better and better. The food and wine matching was spot on.
The host was very accomadating, the attention to detail was amazing, the scenery just kept giving. We will be going again.❤❤

First time visit for an extended holiday in Adelaide. The weather was perfect and the winery itself was very impressive. Everything about this place was 5 star, service, views, wine and the food was impeccable.

I've been to alot of wineries throughout Australia and this was one of the best. 5 course degustation every dish was good just the right amount of food very well presented.

We had a wonderful experience in the tasting room. The service was outstanding with the woman helping us being so accommodating, helpful and kind. Just the right amount of information with each pour - enough to give you background about the wine and then allowing you to taste and enjoy without being overwhelmed. We will definitely be back for some more wine and hopefully the food next time too!

A wonderful midweek Harvest lunch. The food and the service was perfect. It would be difficult to find a better lunch spot in such an idyllic setting.

Wonderful lunch. We just happened to find this winery, trying to find something different, away from the tourist driven lunch options in Handorff. This vineyard has amazing views, which helps, and a fireplace. And a chef that seems to know how to cook, bonus!.
The bread was excellent, we also had the lamb croquette, which was nice and not too dry, went well with the aoli. Then we had the sausage and the oven baked brie with pears. The sausage was nice, done in a red wine sauce. However, couldn’t help but feel it would have been better done over coals to give it more flavour. The brie on the other hand was amazing, went well with the crackers and the bread.
The wines all seemed to be good, we chose a couple of whites which were both really nice.

Chardonnay Tasting was exceptional and had the non-Chardonnay drinkers at the table enjoy a sip too! Others tried the Shiraz tasting and The Lane tasting too, all very informative and delicious.
Service was exceptional and location is beautiful overlooking the vineyards.

Would give this place 6 stars if possible. Everything here was exceptional from the location, service wine and food. We started with a tasting and the guy was lovely and let us taste as many wines as we like as he said not reasonable to expect people to buy wine they haven't tried, even the more premium ones, he was right too we loved a lot of the wines and bought a lot. Then we moved to the dining room and again the service was outstanding. The food was exceptional to match as they kitchen respected the quality of the ingredients and elevated them further with great technique and flavoursome sauces. Would definitely recommend this place as the best experience we've had at a winery.

Beautiful scenary, very friendly staff. Unfortunately they only do high end dining so just did the wine tasting. A few selections to chose from and a well descriptive tasting journey.

We did the Chef’s Table and it was honestly the most incredible dining experience - food, service, wine. Impeccable! I would give it 100 stars if I could.

We have always wanted to book in for lunch at The Lane. We finally booked to celebrate our 20 year anniversary. I'm so glad we did!!
We enjoyed a magnificent 5 course lunch along with a couple of The Lane's excellent wines.
The food was amazing from start to finish and the service was impeccable. A beautiful location with amazing views from the restaurant and the deck.
We both cant wait to return and will definitely put it on our list to share with interstate and overseas visitors.

Beautiful vineyard! Exceptional tasting room experience- superb chardonnay and shiraz tasting with friendly and professional wine presentations. We had lunch of the year -the Chef's table is worth Michellin star.Hope we will back soon.

We were there on a Wednesday to do the gathering experience & lunch after. The gathering experience was 5 different wine with 5 canapés pairing. Loved it! The staff was very tentative. He explained the wine & the accompanying food. Love the Lees butter. Wish they sell it to take home. At this point, we were so full but still went over to the restaurant for lunch. Thank goodness they have an a la cart menu. We ordered the oyster & marinated olive as our entree & the kingfish & ricotta mushroom dumplings. It was perfect for our already full belly. If you are in the Adelaide Hills area, if all the vineyards in the area, this one you have to visit. Views of the vineyard, just beautiful. Food & wine delicious. Staff, amazing.
