Kinsman Kitchens Bundall

The rep at the Good Guys showroom, Bundall, was absolutely lovely and the process to sign up was very professional. Unfortunately our “design consultant” overpromised and completely under delivered. We chose to use Kinsman because of the added feature of a laundry basket and hanging pants rack, though when we got to the last instalment payment when you contractually can’t exit the process without losing money they apologised and told us the pant rack and laundry rack wouldn’t fit our design choice. We were very upset then the Melbourne based kinsman employee said we could order the items ourselves and they would fit. The items didn’t fit and we were never able to install them without ugly packing either side of the sliding pieces. We have now removed those added features and have a simple hanging rack and Jospeh Joseph laundry basket when we could have got without spending $14,000 on something we could’ve got for $5,000. Super disappointing and would hate for anyone else to waste their money and time.

Got Kinsman to come and give us a quote on new kitchen. They arrived on time and did a good design but when it came to giving us the price they gave us an inflated price and then gave us another price using promos they had running but of course we had to pay deposit that day to get it. We always get three quotes when spending such a large amount of money and told them this. As soon as we said that we weren’t paying the deposit the designers demeanour changed from friendly to cold and disinterested We were only allowed to take a photo of the piece of paper the price was written on. No other itemised quote was given. I emailed them after a week to get a quote so we could compare and got no response.After getting other quotes it was clear that their prices are much higher than other companies of similar quality.

The kitchens Kinsman offer are overpriced. I got a much cheaper quote from an independent cabinet maker. Kinsman will add filler to your kitchen to make their cupboards fit in the space and tell you that this is normal and that some even need to be there for compliance - all lies. I couldn't afford more than one set of drawers with Kinsman but now have four sets and a much better layout. Don't be pressured into signing at design appointment to get "discount" get a second opinion as you will not get your deposit back. Also look at all of the reviews online as the quality doesn't look to be there either, there are a lot of the photos of doors with the coating peeling off and poor customer service complaints.
