Ree's Book Shop

Visited this book shop today and was pleasantly surprised at what a treasure I had come across.
I loved perusing through the isles of books and I couldn’t go home empty handed of course.
Very calming environment and nice relaxing background music.
Shop keeper was very helpful when asked for assistance.
Would love to see an LGBTQI+ section 🌈
I will definitely be returning with some books to donate.

We love Ree's bookshop. Could spend many hours looking through the shelves and have never left empty handed! We love the cozy feel of the shop and the books piled horizontally for easy title reading.

My favourite bookshop in Cairns. Old style, crowded shelves, lots of excellent titles, many genres, jigsaw puzzles, and much more. They also stock books by local authors which is something you won't find in the mainstream bookshops. Well worth a visit and a great place to spend time looking for a good read. Highly recommended.

My partner and I Absolutely love going here there is a massive range of books to choose from! The lady who works here is so friendly and welcoming.

Oh my God!!! That was one of the best experience in Cairns! We went to closing up shop,asked the lady if she had Heidi book for our daughter Iris for book day at school tomorrow! The lady was so kind she found it and guess what? We forgot our wallets! We only had some change in the car,the lady said $6 dollars and that’s exactly how much we had! I recommend to everyone,that’s amazing place!

An incredible range of books you might not find anywhere else. There are books on every subject, and the calm atmosphere makes you want to dig the right books for hours. The lady who owns the place will happily help you out with whatever it is your are looking for.

Maree has an excellent range of books on all the topics I was searching for. Since Maree has bought the shop she has added to the variety of authors and has more stock on hand. Helpful and resourceful, need a book, she can find it.

Nice cozy book shop with a big variety of literature. I probably spent about an hour there just enjoying the browsing through the books.

Best secondhand book shop in Cairns. If you want a book, Sue is bound to have it, if not she will order it in for you. You can also exchange your books to get the books you want for a lower cost.

It was amazing the variety of books they have I have to go back there were so many books there that I want to read and the condition of the books was great. I honestly can't wait to go back there
