Woolworths Cairns

Good variety of products (fresh fruit/veggies/meats, small packages of deli products and good breads, and a variety of prepared foods. Also non-medicine pharmacy things like baby products, pre-post sun, and whatever shower/bath needs). Store is clean and well maintained, checkout worked well (self checkout lines were short, cashier checkout seemed to also move reasonably well).

Always easy to get in n out of and never extremely busy.

They stock mini magnums.

After attempting to shop in Woolworths Cairns Central and finding the shelves bare once again I returned to my favourite store in Abbott Street. Fully stocked, plenty of variety and friendly staff. I will only shop here now as I can never get what I want at Central.

Love Woolworths in town when I don’t know what to cook for dinner! They have so many interesting options, different setup to other stores! Easy grab and go!

Very convenient to quickly jump in and out of. Street level parking, sidewalk entry.

Aside from being a fully stocked and compete grocery store, I really enjoy seeing all the visitors wandering around, speaking foreign languages, trying to make head and tails of some of the items on the shelf. It reminds me of how fun a place Cairns is.

Standard Woolies close to Esplanade so very handy.

An impressive selection of produce. Caters for holiday makers or business travelers who might just want to get some overnight meals.

Out of all the Woolies stores across Cairns and the suburbs, it would be the number 1 Woolies store.
It is open until late, 7 days per week. The State Government should completely deregulate the business trading hours so it is free to open until midnight Monday to Sunday, if not 24 hours.
It appears to have some lines that aren't available in the other stores , however, the only criticism that I have is the in-store bakery is often empty in the evenings.
It is very centrally located in the city centre with entries from two streets.
Highly Recommended !

Weird store layout. Best hot food in Australia. Second to Brisbane. Had everything I needed, friendly helpful staff.

The staff behind the hot food counter are absolutely the best. Even my lovely deli man is the most loveliest guy to be served by and so easy to talk too. He is always a positive ray of light. They know exactly what I am there to get…. “Chinese Chicken Wings but only legs!!”

This is my local supermarket. Its always well stocked that is kept full, clean and tidy. Staff are always friendly

All good. The only thing that is less than ideal is the drinking water is so expensive here… smaller bottle is 3-4x the price of the big bottles. Classical Australian math LMAO

While this is a great supermarket with much variety, the Australian duopoly in groceries means that shareholder profits come at the expense of the customer ... and the producers.
