The Bunker - Leura

This is a beautiful place. From the warm welcome on arrival to the outdoor setting it's stunning. The views form the outdoor patio are gorgeous and all of the staff members are consistently kind and friendly. The menu is great with so many options for different allergens. I had the lamb ribs and chips and my eyeballs nearly popped out of my head when I saw the size of the portion of chips it could feed an army. The lamb was beautifully done and so so tasty. I can tell they put a lot of effort and care into everything they do from the food prep to the way they take your order, help you with the menu and serve your food with a genuine smile. I was very comfortable here thank you so much! I hope to be back for lunch to try the chicken schnitzel I've read such great reviews about!

I'm back to update my review because I've had the chicken schnitzel now and so stuffed and so happy! This is my new happy place. The staff were delightful again and made sure I got in before catering for an event. The portion was massive which was great as I was starving for some meat after leaving a vegan retreat 😅 I can't speak highly enough about this place and the happiness of the staff is just so lovely to experience. The views are gorgeous and I could see the Blue Mountains from where I was sitting. Full on 5 stars for this place for the consistency of quality service and food!

Had lunch in here around October 2023 it was lovely visit around Leura. I always kept remembering this restaurant because I got the best Chicken Schnitzel that I've ever tasted. I always want to come back here once I got the chance to visit Sydney again. Loved the foods, the ambience and the toilet are also clean and well designed. 🫶🫶

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at The Bunker Leura to celebrate our wedding anniversary this year and it was absolutely amazing!
The venue and atmosphere was breathtaking, the food and beverages were beautiful and the staff were so friendly with great service.
Would definitely visit The Bunker again!

What an excellent place for lunch while you’re out exploring Leura. I recommend sitting in the garden on a perfectly sunny day with the beautiful views.

Garden is dog friendly and staff are helpful and very friendly.

Coffee was good - best I had in Leura. Food a little expensive, but worth it as was delicious as decent portions.

We were lucky enough to get a table here on a Saturday evening without having made a reservation previously!
We sat on the terrace and had stunning views of the Mountains. We ordered the Wagyu Steak, Chicken Wings, Cheesy Garlic Bread and a side of French Fries. They were all absolutely delicious. Their Riesling wine is also very great and the same goes for their Açaí Bowl Milkshake. At the end, we topped it off with the a date-brownie, with peanut brittle and ice-cream.
For me, this restaurant experience was the most comparable one to European food establishments that I’m used to, so I absolutely adored it.

Hands down the BEST GF food in town! I actually got to eat a chicken Schnitzel with chips/salad and a sneaky side of sweet chilli squid. The service was top notch - shout out to Leanne especially- she looked after us last night, providing terrific food recommendations and today (yes we came back!!!) she actually remembered us and was equally friendly and efficient. Ang was our waiter today, and he also did a great job. Cannot fault this place, just wish they had a sister restaurant in Canberra!!

I love this spot in Blue Mountains! Located very close to Leura, this restaurant is great for big groups but make sure to book! They have a very cute, fairytale aesthetic about their location. It is sort of like a little cottage house with a beautiful garden and lots of choices on their menu. Overall, I really like this spot and would visit again with friends!

Fabulous spot! Great location, great service, and great food. Not the cheapest option out there but the prices feels justified in relation to the portion size and quality. The perfect spot to stop by after half a day of hiking to refuel and enjoy a couple of delicious cocktails. Will come back here again if I'm ever in the Blue Mountains.

Friendly staff with good food! The restaurant also provides a kids menu that doubles up as an activity sheet for them, so it’s a prefect place for parents to bring their little ones over to enjoy a good meal. Recommended if you are at the area :)

We had our wedding reception at The Bunker last Friday and it was absolutely perfect! Laura and Cassandra were amazing event organisers and a dream to work with. The staff on the day were attentive, friendly and did a fantastic job decorating the venue. Our guests had the best time and commented on how beautiful it all was, and how good the food was, especially with all dietaries catered for.
We couldn’t have chosen a better venue or team to host our wedding reception. I wish I could do the day 10x over again 😍 thank you to everyone at The Bunker for giving us the perfect wedding day.

The lunch I had was vegetarian wrap. I went with Anderson Tour Company and they arranged my lunch Ahead of time. It was delicious 😋 they have very fresh and healthy food here. It used to be a old horse 🐴 stable I was told and redone into a Resteraunt. The waiters were very nice and accomadating. The toilets were good as we'll. I highly recommend this place!!!

Very nice place no matter inside or outside, I like here very much.The meals are delicious and price is reasonable. I will visit here again definitely.

Wow! What an incredible experience here. It begins as you walk up the staircase outdoors through the beautiful gardens. You pass under a brick archway and approach the entrance.

The inside is vast and has many sections. It has a beautiful rustic wooden vibe all around. Very earthy and warm. There is a real fireplace in the middle of the space which is a beautiful and warm and calming addition.

The music is chill and the perfect volume for an awesome ambience.

The seats are very comfortable and the tables are spacious and there are lots of tables to choose from.

The food is fresh and delicious and amazing! The hot chips are divine and perfectly seasoned. The desserts were beautifully presented and a visual and taste sensation.

The service is attentive and friendly and they go above and beyond to cater to your needs. They are awesome !

I cannot fault this place at all. I'm obsessed with this place and I can't wait to be back.

Beautiful Garden in a heritage setting building with expanse view to the mountain. Delicious dishes, paired with good selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.

Food was delicious. The views outside were fab! I recommend sitting in the garden if the weather is fine. The service was great too, they were happy to serve us even though we didn't have a booking, and we were a big group. I highly recommend this place if you're headed west of the Blue Mountains and you need a stopover for lunch.

We had shared entree and shared main, plus a bottle of wine. The grilled haloumi was very good, if a little small. The BBQ Spare Ribs were delicious. and very tender. The meat just fell off the bone. The serving was large enough for us to take home the leftovers to have for lunch the next day. Service was very good: attentive but not intrusive. We enjoyed the whole meal very much and will definitely be back.

A hidden gem I think, but not for long. A beautiful cafe in a peaceful location. An extensive menu with a variety of options for all. The food was unbelievably delicious and the service was great. The coffee was ok - not enough to bring it to a 4 star. The food, location and the view from the back deck is worth the visit. Recommend!
