The Bay Cafe

Once we had our delicious prawn starter, and main mean king prawns with Lobster and fruit, we were too full for the beautiful looking desserts. What a wonderful afternoon.

The Bay Cafe was absolutely incredible. The seafood was so fresh, the waitress was wonderful to us, and the restaurant is quiet and calm. Some of the best seafood I've ever had.

Hands down the best deserts I’ve ever eaten in my whole entire life. Such a cute, homely and wholesome restaurant. Didn’t expect such incredible food but it’s such a cute find of a place! Been here twice and had to review the deserts after second time as both the best deserts I’ve ever had! Sunset on the beach is also a must do with the changing hue colours of the sky over the ocean at Tawoon bay

WOW - What an amazing experience. Wednesday, my beautiful friends had to cancel their wedding reception for 60 guests for that Saturday night. They booked the next best thing which was a table at The Bay Cafe for the wedding party, only to find out just after the wedding, dinner at the restaurant was cancelled due to Covid restrictions. What a scamble. The owner went above and beyond to provide three amazing seafood platters for our takeaway wedding reception at home. Beautifully presented, fresh and delicious. Thank you for such an amazing, helpful experience that we will never forget. These are extremely hard times for all in the catering industry. Thanks again for helping the night to be a success.

We had a blackout from a storm just after we ordered but the chefs did a fabulous job in stressful circumstances and managed to feed everyone in the restaurant by candlelight. The meals were excellent and a good size too.

Enjoyed the best seafood platter on the NSW Central Coast. Lobster oysters prawns blue swimmer crab... And beautiful tropical fruit. All the meals coming out looked amazing. Desserts were beautiful. It is BYO so bring your favourite 🍷.

Nice casual atmosphere for lunch with polite and attentive staff. We ordered a seafood plate which was amazing and also some red meat dishes. the food was delicious, well presented and well portioned. A fantastic meal and will definitely be back one night for Tea. We were recommended this place from a friend and will do the same.

Enjoyable special night out

Great service, beautiful food, and honest. I left my wallet in there shop, some honest person handed it in. I didn't realise i had misplaced it, the shop owners drove to Gosford and delivered to my house. I will always eat there when I'm in the area.

A great meal with friends, waitress couldn't have been more helpful. The four diners at my table had wonderful meals, the lamb rack was perfect and seafood and beef equally enjoyable. Highly recommend, also great to have a restaurant open on Sundays.

Really nice food, with an extensive menu, lots of nice choices. We ordered 3 Beef Fillet on Mash as well as a Beef Fillet with Seafood. The fillets were quite substantial and thick, probably about 40mm high, however all 4 of us left nothing on the plate.
Service was good, with friendly staff, would recommend it to anyone wanting a high quality meal. Restaurant is BYO, so you don't get hit with expensive wine charges.

Seafood heaven! The fresh seafood here is excellent and so is the service, we had the friendliest waitress who was absolutely on point. We had the coconut prawns for entree which were delicious followed by an amazing platter for two. The lobster and fresh crab were brilliant and the rest was just as good. This place is also BYO only so come prepared ;-)

Well worth the drive from Sydney. My wife and I and both my mate and his wife had a fantastic meal. I have never tasted prawns the way they were presented in the Prawns Fantasia with a great selection of fruit. We will definitely be back.

Awesome food and such friendly service. A real gem!!
