The Entrance Lake House

Away from the central drag of The Entrance, The Lake House is a gorgeous little gem. We struggle to go out at night when we're away as we have the dogs with us. I saw this sweet little lakeside restaurant while fishing and asked them if they were dog-friendly, and yes, they were. The next night, we sat outside and ate a delicious seafood platter, succulent chicken and a delectable plate of barramundi. We will be back the next time we're in town. We just loved it.

Sean runs a very tight ship, he also makes great coffee and has one of the best fish and chips on the central coast LOL!

First time visiting The Entrance Lake House and didn't disappoint, the food was absolutely delicious, generous portions and has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. All the staff were great and very accommodating. Thank you Sean and your wonderful team for making our Mum's 80th Birthday lunch so beautiful, everyone enjoyed themselves and loved their meals!

What a great place. The atmosphere was awesome the food was fantastic specially if you like your pork belly salty as I do. The shanks melted off the bone and the prawn and pork dumpings severed with that soy sauce were to die for. The staff where so friendly and only to willing to make sure you night was the best it could be. Thanks for a relaxing and filling night.

I have to start with saying how wonderful the staff and service is at the restaurant from the moment you walk in the door. Extremely attentive without being bothersome and accommodating for kids. The day so hot unfortunately and the restaurant could benefit from air conditioning, staff and customers alike were very hot on the 40+ degree day.

We started with the springs rolls and an elderflower cocktail followed by barramundi, the eggplant main, chocolate mouse and peach cheesecake. The food was very good, almost surprised for the little out of the way restaurant. A beautiful view right across the water which was glistening. Well worth booking in to this restaurant!

Had a glitch with our order but the way it was handled was awesome 🤩 that is always the difference between a good and bad experience!!!

Sweet place to stop for a coffee. Ordered a macchiato and espresso - perfect. You’d be surprised how many coffee shops get it wrong!

We came from Sydney to test this restaurant out and it was a great experience. The ambience, service and food was nothing but perfect. Our family members were taking a lot of photos and the waiters were all very happy to help. The owners Cecilia and Sean even came out at the end to check how everything was. Can't wait to come back again!

Great location with a beautiful view. Attended a wedding and it was a great venue for the event. Staff are friendly with food service. Plenty of street parking with easy access. Will happily go back again and I have heard great reports for the breakfast.

Been a couple times now, have loved it. Great location, yum cocktails and food. Service is friendly and attentive. Comedy show today was a highlight! Awesome they are bringing some fun to the area. Definitely worth checking out this little gem 💥💟

I found this place on Google maps as a half-way lunch spot between Sydney and Newcastle. It was one of the best meal experiences I've had in ages. Friendly and professional service, relaxing views, and great food and wine. The menu is modern Australian with an emphasis on seafood. The barramundi fillet I had was cooked to perfection and the vegetarian options my wife and daughter ordered we're also delicious. We will definitely be coming back here again soon!

The two guys here, the owner and (maybe) Terry who was at the bar worked INCREDIBLY hard, we were amazed at how much work they were doing and despite this we got all our food and drinks so quickly. The beef cheeks were melt in the mouth, the Barramundi was well cooked and the pork belly was delicious. Food reasonably priced and a great location. I’ve seen some of the other one star reviews here suggesting a large mark up on wine, I mean seriously that’s the price of going out, if you don’t like it, get a microwave meal and a bag of goon which may be more to your tastes. The guys even got our 4 year old colouring pens and treated her like a little lady, with respect and banter for us. Ignore the negative reviews (very few of them) and give this place a try, we were very happy here. Thanks so much.

The lake house never fails to disappoint. Brilliant food. Amazing service. We go there often despite it being a good 20 minutes away from where we live.

We recently had a work function here for a group of 9 people. It was organised on short notice. Management was great to deal with and helped us in every way to make it a successful lunch. Food and drinks were fabulous and generous, floor staff attentive. Well done!!
Venue is in need of a refurb but overall we had a good time. We will definitely be going there again.
