One of the best Clubs which have visited. Enjoyed!

We just had a weekend in Ballarat and dined at The Red Lion in the restaurant 2 evenings.It was very busy but we soon found out why.The food was fantastic! Cooked perfectly and generous servings.We had pizza and steak the first night. Dumplings ,wings, and a curry the next night .We were very impressed with the service we had too.The waitresses were attentive, nothing was too much trouble.It was really good they do meals until 10pm for late diners too. We would highly recommend and will go back there next time in Ballarat.

Had a short stay in Ballarat. Went for an evening meal in here every night. Friendly regulars chatting outside as we arrived. What a great selection of beers!
Food was excellent every night. The dumpling starter is not for the faint hearted 🥵. Had to get another beer with this. Very friendly staff, so helpful.
There is an inside play area for the kids as well. All in all a great local pub. Would definitely recommend.

What a cracker of a place. Very lively. We're more into being able to hear each other and to be fair, it was tradie night just before Xmas. A very cool place, so we were happy to go to the restaurant end and have a delicious meal. It was quieter there. Check the carpet in the back entrance, I think it needs a clean. Other than that a very cool place, including a courtyard area, and really nice staff.

Went for Valentine's Day. First ever time here and we will definitely be back. The food was great and the servers were well presented and really friendly

Really good food. Dropped in whilst travelling through to Adelaide just to get out of the car and get some good food and quickly so we could get back on the road and this place did not disappoint. Accessible via towing vehicle, great specials and a good price.

Had the best time with the best service, staff were above and beyond exceptional. Nathan and Tony were outstanding gentleman with the utmost respect and professionalism and made me feel at home with the best hospitality anyone could ask for.

Great food and lovely service. They allowed my pup to join us in the undercover deck area and even welcomed her with her own bowl of water. The food was delicious! We all travelled from the South East and am contemplating the drive again just for the food 🤣 yum! Thanks for a wonderful lunch experience 🥰

I just ate a perfect steak here. Outstanding service, efficient and friendly staff. The professionalism of the hospitality staff was exceptional. The meal was served promptly and with a decent steak knife. Highly recommended.

Not a bad word to say about this venue! Food was absolutely delicious from the cheesy garlic bread to the dumplings, bao and Nasi Goreng. Even an 11th hour change request was not a problem. Bustling venue, perfect for families - our son loved the indoor playground. Great drink options, friendly and easy going staff. Our whole party said it was a shame we don’t travel very often to Ballarat as we would be back all the time. Thanks for having us!

Was visiting from interstate and went for dinner. Very nice atmosphere and very kid friendly, with kid's menu and indoor playground. Excellent service, the manager even refunded an item we weren't happy with. Recommended if you're in the area.

We arrived at the venue, without a booking, and were accommodated without hesitation.
Our waitress for the evening was Leah and made our whole experience a pleasure.
Our food was absolutely smashing, compliments to the chef.
I would recommend The Red Lion to anyone whilst in the area or living close by. 10/10

I’ve eaten here many times and the food is always absolutely delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful, my favourite is the red special parmigiana served on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Great food👍🏻

In Ballarat for the day to meet some friends up from Melbourne. This was 450m from where they were staying and what a find!

Has absolutely everything and more; TAB sports bar area, x2 outdoor smoking areas and a lovely outdoor eating area, x2 dining section that we saw and a kids playground with easy access from one of the separate dining areas. All adjoining the stunning bar where you first enter.

The place has beautiful furnishings and a very warm and welcoming feel, the staff were professional and lovely too!

To top it all off the food was absolutely amazing and the menu has loaaaads of options. Overall a top visit, will definitely recommend and is more than deserving of the 5 🌟s

Had the chilli chicken spaghetti and cannot not fault it. The staff accommodated us on their busy night without a booking. They were super friendly and helpful. 😀

We visited Ballarat recently due to the town hosting a junior lacrosse tournament and during our stay, we visited the Red Lion on recommendation from an Uber driver. This place was so awesome, we attended 3 times during our stay. Despite being a large group, They always endeavoured to get us in at short notice(once the couldn’t). The food was ALWAYS good, very reasonably priced with generous portions. Friendly staff who couldn’t do more for you. I highly recommend if you visit ballarat, visit the Red Lion….you won’t be disappointed.
