This place is an absolute gem. Super cute little Cafe with a beautiful setting, very welcoming and cosy. Our waitress was a bit under the pump but she handle herself well and we understood the rush of getting in our order before menu change. So many incredible options, it was hard for us to decide. We were hungry too so naturally we over ordered. We ordered the Kimchi friend rice to share. This was hands down one of the best fried rices ever. 🤤 we also order 2 brekky mains as well, which was definitely too much but so worth it. We had the Mediterranean and the Turkish breakfast. Very very generous portions but the flavours were spot on. I'm not a huge fan of falafel but I was even impressed by those. The beautiful rich sauces and the accompaniments with each dish was incredible. Will definitely be back and highly recommend! 5 🌟

Had the roasted pumpkin and crispy rice salad with hummus, kale and some sort of delicious whipped cheese. Every element was bursting with flavour. The hummus was insanely smooth and creamy. The rice / puffs incredibly crispy so a wonderful textural contrast. Absolutely delicious. Was surprised it was such a flavour and texture bomb.

My partner had the chicken salad with crispy prosciutto and loved it.

Chips were pretty good (thin fries, relatively crispy and with Old Bay Seasoning), although I’ve had crispier and more flavoursome chips at a few other places.

Didn’t have coffees so can’t comment.

I did overhear someone at another table requesting dietary requirements such as vegetarian and no onion and it sounded like the staff/kitchen were well setup for accommodating such request which is good as there’s not many vegetarian options on the lunch menu. Although it would be good if they mentioned on the menu overall how dietary requirements work as I would have liked to have know if there were substitutes for some of the meat based meals of which there were quite a few.

A+ coffee and the poached eggs on toast were unbeatable. You can tell the fresh local produce is a cut above, can't go wrong. Beautiful thick cut, soft sourdough. Moreish.

Had lunch and coffee here, overall we had a great experience! The food was delicious done simple and well! Full of flavour and tasted fresh! The coffees and juices where 10/10! Iced coffees where perfect and the mocha was delicious! The juice shot also was great and full of flavour and tasted nice and fresh! The venue is gorgeous and provides a beautiful spot for lunch and coffee! Overall I can’t really complain about anything other than the staff where friendly but where a little bit odd but they still where nice! Overall I have to give Berta a solid 5/5 stars and i will be returning here again soon!

Really phenomenal stuff. Strongly recommend coming here for breakfast. It's full of flavour and has a lot of options that are worth trying. The Turkish breakfast is a phenomenal dish and highly recommend.

Very cool local find. Great Cafe for breakfast, but you will need to share a long table with others, if that's not your thing.

An eclectic selection of brekky meals on the main strip in Hobart. The service was quick and correct. The coffee is smooth. The food is flavourful. They gave us steak knives to use for the sourdough which was appreciated

Amazing place to have Sunday morning breakfast. The staff was really nice and so accommodating with our dietary requirements. Food was delicious and fresh and beautifully presented. I had the spring onion pancake with sticky pork belly, o.m.g. I wish I could have this dish on a regular basis! Highly recommend and will definitely come back next time I'm in Hobart.

This place sitting somewhere between place you could be in fancy and cozy, which reminds me Ottolenghi in London. Loving the atmosphere there.. hot chicken pie was very nice and toffies on top of soy latter recommended by staff was just amazing. :)

I can see why this place appears on “best breakfast” and “best cafe” lists in Hobart. I came with friends for breakfast for a weekend in Hobart and the food was fantastic 💖 I had the avocado toast with hummus, soft boiled egg and za’ataar, chai and then a hot chocolate. Friends had mushrooms on toast, croquettes and other delicious looking food. I definitely want to come back on my next Hobart trip so I can more on the menu!

Baked dish (can't remember the name 😜) with potato, chorizo, fried egg, avocado, tortilla. This was a really interesting dish! Super tasty with lots of great ingredients 😍.

So enjoyed our breakfast. Overall a great experience. Our first stop in Hobart! Would definitely recommend you visit. Would revisit for sure.

Group of four of us all had different amazing brekkies. Beautifully presented and heaps of flavour. Quick and friendly service. Really like this place.
