Yuelarbah Trail Carpark

What a hidden gem in Newcastle. I've heard about the Glenrock State Forest before but first time to visit and so glad 😊 I did.. There's a few tracks available from here , most are medium grade. We had no intention of visiting the Glenrock beach but the walk is just so nice with lots of wildlife and beautiful trees.The paths are all nicely done up and would rate Glenrock State as one of best in NSW..Highly recommended 👌

Absolutely loved it! Although very muddy in parts,( don't wear your good sneakers), the hike was not long ( under 2 hrs return with photo stops and slow progress due to mud) but lots of beautiful rainforest, creeks, waterfalls, bridges, bird life etc.
Would not recommend for people who don't like stairs or have bad knees.......about 10 flights in one section and quite steep!
Was only a few people on the track and the lagoon at the end next to a powerful surf was amazing!
You can keep going along the beach towards Merewether baths, but I just did down and back.
Plenty of parking although quite a few cars at 6.45am on a weekday. Easy to find.
Mostly under cover from rainforest/bush but sunscreen would be need when you hit the beach.

Amazing walking tracks in this national park. There is some lots of parking around.

Beautiful area. Went for the rock-climbing. Will return for the rest of the walk.
Nice area to be on a hot day, lots of shade.

This hike is one of my faves in Newcastle - moderate fitness, take as long as you like and enjoy a swim then hike back up the track.

Go after rain for gorgeous waterfall views. Take plenty of water 💦 lots of great spots to stop and have a picnic too!

Lovely hike for the whole family

Free parking and also plenty of parking spaces. It's never too crowded either from the times I've been here. It's also connected directly to the walking trail and dirt bike trail so it's easy to quickly load up your bikes or bags after you've finished from your activities as the carpark is right outside the entrance of both trails.

This is am amazing location bringing bush and ocean together in amazing harmony.this must see location has many freshwater swimming holes and waterfalls to enjoy and a amazing beachfront to relax with a heated water course at the end that meets the ocean in the evening. Great location for the hole family. Note this location is not wheelchair accessible.!!!

Great little walk, wonderfully maintained track and its got it all; trees, river (no swim warning due to contaminants), bridges, water fall, ocean views and the half way point opens out onto a secluded beach!

Beautiful trail down to the beach. Even if you don't walk all the way down there are pristine vistas about half way down with benches to boot. You gotta come see this place

The path is very good but find your own track is even better.

Great place to park if you want to use the Fernleigh track or use the tracks available to go to Glenrock or the beach ✅🙂⛱🏖🌅

Great spot for walking. Easy boardwalk or keep going for a more advanced walk
