Love all vibes here.
Need to be here again.
The food was great. Little busy on lunch special. We walk in with no booking, more than half of the table booked.

Friendly staff. Good price.

Awesome pub by the Newcastle harbour front! Great views of the harbour and great tasting value pub food. The location and views was awesome. There was live entertainment and the place was packed. Seating both indoor and outdoor by the harbour. There is lots of street parking, both paid and free. Would recommend to visit.

Brilliant food and experience. The Queens Wharf Hotel was a food highlight for our short trip to Newcastle. Portions were generous and tasty, and service was friendly. A great vibe in the venue as live music was playing when we were there. Highly recommend

Great good, lovely spot to meet up with friends and family. Plenty of parking available even on Sat although it was a very very cold Sat. Ordering is easy, order at the bar for food and drinks. Daily specials available too and even better are the special $10 desserts! The white bait was delicious!

As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia tour of NSW, I visited this awesome bar on the water and got to enjoy the sun. Go down, I could do this over and over again.

Sat upstairs and enjoyed beer, wine and gin cocktails while watching the sunset and listening to the live guitarist.

Drunks everywhere. Great place but patrons were a bit scum deluxe. Nice position and bands fabulous but we didn’t stay. I felt the crowd was a bit too rough for me to enjoy a few relaxing drinks.

I’ll check the place out again one day. Maybe it was just the day we went.

Update 4 years later: some days are better than others. Most days lately have been fabulous. We always go here bc the bands are good, the wines brilliant. Some days are more for schoolies where they serve plastic cups instead of nice glasses. We don’t usually eat here as its predominantly a place to go as we wait for the ferry. We love sitting out on the wharf. Everyone’s friendly here, staff are amazing.

The only criticism I wish they would fix is the ladies toilets. Not enough to service us all. Please upgrade them

Plenty of variety and good atmosphere. Prices are a little high compared to other local venues but still not a biggie.

The Queens Wharf Hotel is a venue that always seems to deliver better than expected quality and value.
The view over the river and port entry (Nobby’s Heads) is unsurpassed, the staff are fantastic and extremely eager to please, and the food is excellent value for money.
Their good selection of beers & wines is another selling point.
Definitely a place to consider for your next visit to the Newcastle foreshore.

The food was great and quite generous portions. The atmosphere is great with a full house and peple jumping on tables as soon as they were vacated. There is very loud piped music. A live band came on at 2pm. Unfortunately we were there for a quiet lunch and to talk. But we still had a good time.
