Really enjoyed a revisit after 20 odd years. A lovely garden with different styles and architectural elements. The original house is stunning, sensational vistas from nearly every window. And that bathroom! We brought our own picnic but will be back to try the tea room.

Great garden and amazing house.

Visited early Saturday morning in March, weather was great and the Japanese embroidery in the squash court was amazing.

Step back in time and wonder how people lived in yesteryear. Beautifully and carefully restored house. Light refreshments are served by volunteers on weekends. Roam the gardens and admire the statues. Such a pleasant outing. Thank you, National Trust.

Beautiful gardens. Funky house. Fantastic Devonshire tea - reminded us of home in the UK! Super friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Little gem.

Recently renovated the Everglades house now matches the exquisite grounds in its display of stylish heritage. Well worth a visit for the experience of Devonshire Tea overlooking the well maintained gardens.

Vibrant and bright this time of year. Would recommend a good pair of shoes as some of the paths are uneven and steep. $17pp fairly empty.

A great place to see intersection of Art Deco, Sorensen landscape gardens, and Blue Mountains beauty.... Recent reproduction of original furniture makes the place so much better...

I am an avid gardener but this amazing place is definitely next level .
Outstanding attention to detail throughout the gardens that have been meticulously curated for almost a century.
Springtime is the best time to visit to see the new blooms although the Everglades is a beautiful place to visit all year round.
The buildings on the grounds are very interesting and the gift store is very well stocked .
Everyone must visit these gardens at least once to really appreciate the blend of native & exotic trees & shrubs .

A gorgeous National Trust property with stunning views, a beautifully kept garden and delightful afternoon teas - the scones were freshly baked and delicious! Walking around the gardens was a pleasure, and interesting to learn of the history and previous owner. A cute little gift shop with local produce too.

Stunning, a trip to Leura is not complete without a visit to this stunning home and gardens in spring. The small gift shop has lovely local handicrafted items.

This place is amazing the garden look fantastic and great pathways around this pristine gardens. Unfortunately the garden weren’t in full bloom but all the bulbs and bushes were getting ready to flower 🌺 we’ll be back next time. I would definitely recommend this place to see how nice the volunteers have put so much work in the garden and surrounding areas.

Amazing art Deco home set in the most splendid garden. One of my favourite places in the Blue Mtns. Best to visit in autumn or spring but such a lovely place to wander and explore the gardens, glades, grotto etc. Join National Trust and enter for free!

If you're in the Katoomba area, don't miss out on this. The grounds and gardens are beautiful, the views are spectacular and the history is interesting. The idea of the work that must've went into building this is astounding. A must see!

A beautiful hidden gem in the Blue Mountains. The landscaped gardens have amazing dry stone walls throughout. Many points in the gardens have majestic views of the Blue Mountains and valleys. As this garden was planned and planted many decades ago, it has many large and exotic trees and mass plantings of azaleas and hellebores. The original art deco residence has been beautifully restored. You can walk through the building and appreciate the amazing views from every room. Definitely worth a visit if you're travelling to Leura.

Lovely to see such an interesting (and steep) slice of paradise in the Blue Mtns. The terraced gardens and outdoor theatre are very clever. Recommend sensible walking shoes to navigate a little bit of rocky terrain to see the grotto pool.

Wonderful gardens maintained by staff and volunteers. The carpet looks amazing now that they have been dyed. The looks amazing with the new paint job to match the era. The old home is a trip down memory lane. The gardens have hours worth of exploring.

Definitely a must visit in the Blue Mountains. It is not exactly pram & wheelchair friendly - with terraced gardens at various levels. The paths & walkways are gravelly, pebbly, sometimes rocky with myriad steps to navigate. The heritage 1933 home has a few levels but the lower levels cannot be accessed. Bring a picnic & spend some time here. There is a Cafe that serves Devonshire tea & other fare. Visitor entrance has a nice retail gift shop. Volunteers are very friendly, helpful & informative. Be prepared to show your vaccine Cert which is a condition of entry.

The landscaped gardens by Paul Sorensen is extensive - with loads of little surprises at every turn but you really must be prepared for uneven, unsealed paths & steps to get to the lower glade, lookout, created creek flowing into the grotto with mini waterfall.

Gorgeous backdrop of blue mountains "framed" by wisteria, hedges, brickwork & even the heritage home's windows! Minimum 2 hours at least but needs more to really appreciate its beauty.

Amazing historic buildings and well maintained gardens. We went during winter but spring or autumn might be a better time. Tickets required for non-members very much worth it!
