Was sent to see Dr Philip Reid by my employers insurance company after a serious workplace accident.
I did see psychiatrist prior to seeing Dr Reid, who believed I was suffering from PTSD But Dr Reid did not believe that I was suffering from PTSD as he stated to suffer from PTSD you need to have gone through a life threatening experience. If nearly getting your hand cut off by a sheet of glass is not a life-threatening experience I don't know what is, and anyway everyone responds to traumatic experiences psychologically different than other people. So how can he definitively say that I did not suffer from PTSD everyone is different I still believe I am still suffering from PTSD not a very good psychiatrist that's all I can say quite pathetic in my views! but of course he was working for the employers insurance company that says a lot.
