Twisted Lime

I lived in Hobart for just over a year, and Twisted Lime was the literally the only place I would ever spend my weekend and weekday evenings. The free pool table is a great touch, I would spend hours every night playing game after game. I do not think there is any other place that has free pool, even in Sydney, I struggle to find a place with consistent free pool. The layout and design of the place provides a unique tree house atmosphere that I have never experienced anywhere before; there is always some nostalgic movie or series playing on the television that you can watch and enjoy during weekday nights, a gaming console with games like tekken, the Simpsons, or Mario kart to enjoy, and a newly created arcade machine filled with 100's of games to play.

The music events on weeknights are so varied that every weekend is something worth going to. I met dozens of interesting, beautiful, and kind people during my nights at Twisted Lime. After a while, it got to a certain point where I would rather spend my evenings at Twisted Lime, than at home, because the people, staff and patrons included, were far more entertaining, welcoming, fun, and chill to be around that to be at home. Even when I had no one to go with, I knew that the staff and others would always be willing to have a yarn and get to know you.

The only reason I miss living in Tasmania is because of this place. Can't wait to visit you guys again for dark MOFO and Halloween. Thanks for all the fun times in 2023.

Please note the five stars for food is in relation to the drinks. This is an excellent place for a chill knock off or a long night partying and meeting new peeps. They also do great shows sometimes, that Hera is a real Fox.

Visiting from outta town, found this gem on our last night and the only regret is that we don't have an extra
few nights to come back!! Bar service was generous and incredibly warm and friendly, cocktails were absolutely delicious and very creative!!! Huge variety and great vibe. Will be our go to bar without doubt every Hobart visit!

Been here a few times and have never had any problems. It’s a relaxed atmosphere and a good place to chill and drink with friends while playing some games. The staff all seem friendly. Would definitely recommend it. 🙂👍🏻

My wife Britta and I went hunting for a bar on the evening of Anzac day. Everywhere was pretty quiet but we had an absolute blast with just a handful of patrons and the bartender here at the Twisted Lime. I unfortunately cant remember the bar tenders name, but he had a few dyed colours in his hair. He recommended plenty of great drinks, beers and cocktails included but best of all, had a great attitude. Thanks for a memorable night whilst we were in Hobart!

Love this place! PS/ the security guard is so lovely and caring! Andddd there may be a very attractive bar staff member that works here with a lot of tattoos.. brunette tattoos on his throat hands and arms… well I don’t know how to track him down but great customer service 👏

I can't dance for anything but I appreciate that I was able to dance to the mediocre DJs for four hours straight without people judging me. Good cheap drinks too. Highly recommend :)

Amazing bar with great vibes , the guys really looked after us being tourists mixing up top notch cocktails and introducing us to some new flavors for very reasonable prices . Highly recommend for chill drinks or a fun night out!!

Little line, friendly staff, decent pricing and the bouncer makes you feel safe from the moment you get in there!

Definitely a decent bar, cheap drinks, nice bartenders and great location. Not as good as it used to be!
