Namaste India Restaurant

Namaste India is conveniently located near the Westfield with plenty of free parking available. We booked in advance although it was a Monday. Our table was set for us when we arrived. Staff were attentive and courteous and served us well. Now to the food, we had vegetarian food, all of which, was very fresh and tasty with authentic flavours. The restaurant catered for our request for mild food for the kids and the food served was just right.

Make sure you get the mango chicken curry and the Rogan josh, they are seriously the best that I’ve had in canberra!

Had a great dinner here. We were greeted by friendly staff and promptly seated. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, with the right balance of authentic Indian and modern furnishings. The food was wonderful and in good proportions. We had an entree, main & desert, all which came out promptly, and left very satisfied. We'll be going back there again!

Great place for organising a party. Great food, great location and a great ambience. We had our 10th Anniversary Celebration there with around 120 guests. The place easily accommodates a large group for a party. The food was excellent and great timely service. The guests were very happy and satisfied. Aditya and his team listened to all our requests and delivered accordingly.

Love the ambience!! N food is always so flavorful. The breads are always freshly prepared. They have very good value for money lunch deals as well. Worth checking out. Definitely one of very few good Indian restaurants in Canberra

Really great food, and friendly service. I've had a few meals here, 1 on my own and a couple in groups. Every time, myself and the people I've been with have been impressed by the delicious menu and great service. The pricing is decent, the lunch specials in particular are great value. I would highly recommend this place. It seems like not many people know about it yet and I wonder if this is because the name and signs out the front saying 'Oh Canberra - Restobar' doesn't make it obvious that it's an authentic Indian Restaurant. If you find your way inside though, your in for a great experience.

We have only just found this place and it is fantastic! The food is exactly to our liking and a good price, service is good and they have some package deals. Rice has a bit of extra flavour due to spices, but don't eat the cardamon etc, that is still in the rice.
We have only had take away, but it looks nice for eat in, and it is licenced. This is certainly worth a try if you like Indian food.

We organised a birthday party for my daughter. It was a very good decision that we did it here. Ambience was 5 star, food was awesome and very authentic Indian taste. Service was at its best. The owner couple are very nice people to deal with. They went extra mile to make it memorable event. Our guests was so happy with the event and were surprised with the quality and setup of the place in Canberra. I will recommend this place any time. A+++.

Ordered takeaway for delivery. Servings were generous both in portion size (1 curry could comfortably split into 2 serves) and in the amount of meat/vegetables to sauce. Quick turnaround from order placement to pickup and the meals were still warm on delivery despite being a fair way away from the restaurant.
Dishes were a little milder than expected (both in heat and spices) but still very tasty. Excellent Butter Chicken if you enjoy a sweet curry.

Eaten here multiple times now and every time delicious with good service. Getting your drinks is a bit slow but the cocktails are cheap and worth it!
I order Onion Bhaji as an entree everytime, Butter Chicken is good, and every time we try something new it's always welcome.
Also has take away and it's fast and good quality.

Some of the reviews astound me. It's clear some people are very picky! The food here is easily the best Indian cuisine I have eaten in a restaurant, anywhere. Tasty authentic food, dishes not all coming out of the same pot with a different sauce but prepared individually. Great vegetarian dishes if that's your preference and we found the staff obliging and welcoming. Definitely going back there! All this despite the unlikely name!

We had our dinner tonight. Food is delicious. Good to have this kind of great ambience Indian restaurant in Canberra. Price is also reasonable compared to other gourmet Indian restaurants in Canberra. My first ever review for a restaurant but this is a must try.

Don't eat out much as had horrible allergies with weird masalas and colour they must be adding. Was forced to join for dinner here..... But not here, everything tasted as it should, no red colour on napkins when you wipe your lips while eating. Woke up in the morning with none of my allergies complaining. So it was a great evening. Will go there again.

We had an amazing experience at Namaste India organising my son's 1st birthday party in July 2020. The place is big and very tastefully decorated, the food was fresh and absolutely delicious (not too oily or extra spicy) and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful at all stages. The entire experience was hassle free and we could enjoy the party without any worries at all. As a host, we couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommend!

I have visited many Indian restaurants in Canberra, and can say this without a doubt that the food at Oh! Canberra Restobar is the best Indian food there is in the city. I was here with a friend last weekend and it was good to see so many options available ranging from Indian Street food to Indian curries that’s coupled with attentive customer service. Will come back, for sure!

Delicious Indian food, friendly service and fresh surroundings. Prawn entree was really nice and the spice was perfect! Hot naan straight from the oven and a lovely clean setting was perfect for date night. There’s heaps of room so it would be perfect for a party too!

Had the best ever Christmas work party at Oh! Canberra Restobar! The food, the service, the drinks, and a huge dance floor with a DJ, it was amazing. The restaurant is spacious and modern. I had arrived early and was hungry so asked for some chicken tikka when I arrived. Service was so friendly and fast even though they were busy during dinner. The dish came out in less than 2 minutes on a sizzling plate, it was impressive. They have a fantastic selection of wines, spirits, and beer on tap. We wanted a banquet and they catered to everyone's diet requirements with delicious veg and carne options. We had lamb, chicken tikka, prawns, and papdi chaat for entrees. They were all delicious but my favourite was the chaat. Mains were lentil dal, butter chicken, vindaloo and one more I can't remember the name of served with naan and rice. I was so full I couldn't try everything! I can't wait to go back here again, it was a memorable experience.

Five stars not less than that. We tried several dishes as we were a big group. Everything was great I specially recommend butter chicken.
