Hideaway Cottage

We were looking for a place to unwind, relax and remove ourselves from the technology in our lives. Hideaway Cottage delivered this in spades! Being able to relax in front of the fire or walk around the property and enjoy nature in all its simplistic glory is something incredibly under-rated. The property is equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay, speaking of which I wish ours had been longer! We will definitely be coming back!

What an absolute honour to stay here. Hideaway Cottage is nestled far into the hills behind Apollo Bay, a truly idyllic setting with twisty roads and vertiginous views which need to be seen to be believed. The cottage itself is comfortable, spacious and boasts a fireplace, large fridge, plenty of powerpoints and excellent bathroom. Our party of 7 felt like we had space to enjoy alone time and also come together and prepare meals in the well equipped kitchen. Two guests stayed in the cabin down the way - the only downside is the lack of bathroom or bins here, which necessitates trips to the main cabin for these facilities. Sunrise brings exquisite views across the hills and pockets of reception can be found around the house and down the road. Come prepared for a true getaway and you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely loved it here, if you are looking for a haven to spend time with friends or family, then this place is for you. Short beautiful drive from Apollo Bay town centre. Outdoor fire place with wood fire pizza oven is a great way to see the stars at night. Phone reception was poor/almost non-existent for me.

Charge us 50% deposit even when VIC in lockdown and we can not travel based on government’s advice. Talked to both the owner and Airbnb, the owner refused to issue refund. Very disappointed.
