Bright Flight Paragliding

Highly recommend!! We did the tandem flight on the weekend and it was such an awesome experience. Wally and his team were very friendly and professional :)

Just finished my PG2 Course. Instructors were fantastic, calm and supportive. Wally is super humble, and yet one of the best pilots in the country, clearly a career educator (he used to be a school teacher), and the more you speak with him the more you realise he's absolutely single minded about seeing the sport and it's pilots progress safely, all over the world.

Would absolutely recommend getting in touch whether you want to do your first tandem and want to know that you're going with someone who's deeply passionate about the sport, loves flying themselves and is going to give you a great, safe experience, or if you're jumping in the deep end like me and doing your pilot's licence. I had some fears going into it, and talked to Wally before the course, and it was absolutely fine.

We had an incredibly high ratio of instructors to pilots so that even when I was 'left to fly myself' towards the end of the course, I knew there was someone specifically eyes on me for take off, during flight, and in landing, which went miles to boost my confidence.

Can't wait for a summer of flying, and the freedom to explore the air almost anywhere in the world, with gear that fits in a backpack!

Everyone is very lovely and enthusiastic to get you going. Felt very safe. Amazing teaching style, tremendous effort of Wally and the team to make it the best experience for their students. Wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

Could not recommend more. We had a great time on a tandem flight. It was my first time in the air but Wally, Clara and James had me feeling completely at ease. Instructions were crystal clear, everyone was super professional and welcoming. If you're considering a flight, absolutely go for it with Bright Flight. You wont regret it.

With very short notice, Wally was so accomodating to make a tandem flight happen for us. I had my first flight in September with Bright Flight. It was a wonderful experience that I hope to do again. Jonathan and Wally were so great at explaining everything and putting me at ease. I highly recommend them!

I did the PG2 course in Autumn. Bright is a stunning place to undertake this course with several launch sites. The instructors (Wally, Phil and Richie and occasionally Brian) were absolutely fabulous. They are patient, calm, reassuring, incredibly competent and knowledgable and a whole lot of fun. There is a strong sense of community within the sport that is clearly seen in Bright. I highly recommend for anyone looking to learn to fly.

It was my first tandem flight and it was one of the best experiences I've had. The team were kind, friendly, funny and did a great job making me feel comfortable and informed about the flight process. 100% recommended.

Just completed a 30minute thermal flight with Phil. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. From the car ride up chatting to other instructors, to the flight itself with a very experienced pilot Phil, everything was professional and you feel like you are in safe hands. Phil, an experienced pilot made me both comfortable when I wanted to be , to being pleasantly uncomfortable with some sharp turning spirals on the descent down ( I loved that, not for the feint hearted and Phil reads his clients exceptionally well and it was a welcome suprise for me who loves that slight feeling of danger!) Phil was happy to talk about anything and was very knowledgeable the whole ride. I can't thank Bright Flight enough for giving a truly wonderful experience.

Can't reccomend this course enough. Wally & Clara put on such a good week and the whole team teaches everyone so well. Had the best time.

All the instructors are amazing teachers, the gear is first class, the course structure incredible and achievable, and lots of laughs along with it. I simply can't praise them enough!!!

Once in a life time experience!! Loved every second of it. Clara was great at everything, pilots knew their job and worked as a tour guide throughout our high flight and provided all info past n present about the town. Weather was pleasant, not very cold at height!!!!

Hands down the best school for all levels in Australia. I just finished an XC clinic with Wally & the team and it was brilliant. I had been stuck in my progression for a while and the clinic really helped me to break down a lot of mental barriers. Flying with Wally and JB is incredible. Picture yourself in the air with some of the best and most caring pilots in Australia literally whispering in your ears for advice and reassurance as you fly some incredible terrain. This should be on the list for any pilots wanting to get in XC or simply get better at it and enjoy flying even more. Had an absolute blast! Thank you.

Can not recommend Bright Flight enough if you want to learn the sport of paragliding. It was very clear from the beginning of the licence course that Wally and the team are highly experienced and knowledgeable. I felt completely safe throughout the course and the instructors were more then happy and capable of answering any questions or giving advice throughout my training. The whole team went above and beyond for my course to ensure we all came out licenced and armed with the skills and knowledge to begin our flying journey! Thank you Bright Flight!

Wally and his team are fantastic, had an amazing flight over Bright and Wandiligong. Couldn't of asked for a better experience.

I can’t imagine a better group of people to learn to fly with. Wally runs a quality outfit, he and his crew are a a gifted group of pilots, and educators, who genuinely want people to get the most out of paragliding. They could teach a fish to fly, and fly well… they T continue to teach me, and I’d recommended them for tandems, license courses, and experienced pilots - you’ll only hear good things. We had around 20 staff booked for Paragliding with Bright Flight back in October 22 for a work retreat. Sadly due to road closures and weather it couldn't go ahead, but I do want to call out and thank Wally for all the immense help planning it. Bright Flight seem extremely professional and knowledgable and we'll definitely be back to try again next time!
