A gem in the mountains.

My wife and I too one look through the window of Harvest and the fine dining set up had us seated in no time at all.

The food was well thought out and presented like any big city 5 star restaurant.

You can witness the chefs through the kitchen window and how they focus on delivering a wonderful creation.

Inside the decor with the exposed brick wall and white roof with the sunlight shining through made for a wonderful experience.

When we heard Chef Brent Strong had opened a new restaurant in Berry, we made sure to visit. We had sampled his exquisite food over the past two years at Bangalay Dining in the Shoalhaven and really enjoyed it.

His new venture is ‘Harvest Berry Mountain’ on the Main Street of Berry. This is essentially two places in one, with a smokehouse and beer garden out the back and a fine dining restaurant by night, cafe by day inside.

The outdoor space is a lovely garden with garden tables, umbrellas and greenery and a prominent smokehouse area serving up slow cooked meats such as chicken wings, pulled pork, smoked sausage and more. We were just there for a drink and snack and tried the burnt ends on toast with blue cheese, pickled cucumber and the tasty meat. It’s a good snack to have with a beer.

The venue has a great drink list including craft beers and spirits, especially their own craft beer. This has been brewed by renowned head brewer, Neal Cameron. We tried a few of their beers and hope to see tasting paddles in the future as we think people would love this. Plenty of cocktails here too and I was appreciative there was even a non-alcoholic gin and tonic using seedlip. So good, just like the real thing.

We think it would be good to also have some snacks like olives, smoked nuts or charcuterie boards as well if you just wanted afternoon drinks.

If you’re dining inside, it’s a lovely space with
exposed brick interiors, polished wooden floors, marble tables and white chairs and a prominent bar with a brass beer tap, drinks on display, velveteen chairs and copper industrial lights. We like that you can also see the chefs working away in the kitchen.

The inside space hosts a fine dining option at night with a 2 course menu at $60 per person
or 3 courses at $80 per person. The food uses fresh and local ingredients. We recommend checking out their website to peruse the menu.

We returned for their breakfast which has some great options such as a granola, eggs and sourdough and the options we chose. We loved that the breakfast here uses quality ingredients and smoking techniques to provide a delicious meal. The house made Pulled pork Baked beans was lovely and Smokey and served alongside an English muffin with a fried egg. We added on a smoked sausage which completed it perfectly. In addition, the smoked pumpkin with mushrooms, kale and labneh was also a great option. The prices for brekkie are very reasonable too. If you’d prefer something smaller, there’s pastries on offer.

The coffee is made using a house blend from a local Nowra roaster, quite subtle blend so if you’re a strong drinker, order a double. In addition there’s teas, chai and juice.

A lovely addition to Berry and we recommend a visit here if you’re in town. Hats off to Brent and the team for the great concept and execution.

Great ambience on a warm day after a day of activities. Decent food, great service. Bathrooms are fantastic although there is only 1 for each gender.

Great place to stop for a decent lunch and good atmosphere.

Wonderful outdoor setting and lovely ambience as the outside area was surrounded by all things you can harvest such as herbs and citrus trees. We ordered the taleggio and smoked mushroom panini from the garden menu. Despite the staff forgetting to put our orders through and we had waited for a good 30 minutes before it was addressed I still rate this place with 5 stars for the fantastic service we had received from each and every wait staff we had interacted with. Every single person working here was polite, friendly and had the can-do attitude - a rarity these days! Our food came late but this was acknowledged with apologies which was well appreciated. The food was simple yet delicious. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Berry.

Fantastic! Wonderful, professional front of house with exquisite food from the kitchen.
Our second time dining in the restaurant was as consistent as the first.
Easily best dining south of the harbour bridge.
Looking forward to trying the smoke house for lunch soon!

Stopped here on Saturday on the way back from Vincentia. After a week of mediocre food and service this was a refreshing pick me up on the way back from Sydney. We arrived with a large party, were seated quickly and the food and beer was first class. The XPA was excellent and was shame I was driving! Will stop back for a proper dinner next time!

Refreshing new joint in Berry. Enjoyed their smoked beef rib + gold bbq sauce, and some off tap pale ales in their nice outdoor area.

Had a fantastic lunch here. Decided to order a number of plates to share between us and everything we had was great - pulled pork, smoked chicken wings, sausage, corn and melon & prosciutto salad. Perfect amount for the five of us dining. Service was very friendly. We sat right at the back of the outdoor area and it was a lovely way to while away a couple of hours.

What a wonderful spot. While in Berry we visited twice in a long weekend. Smokehouse has the delights that are well prepared and flavourful. Kudos to the chef. Staff are amazing, friendliest and genuinely bubbly people. Will visit every time I pass through Berry, heck I might even just make a day trip from Sydney on occasion. Solid 10/10.

We went for coffee only but what a place to visit... beautiful!!!
I had fresh tomato juice, very yummy and then this almond croissant, can't really find the word to describe it...so delicious: crunchy, tasty and unbelievable.
In general we enjoyed every moment we spent there.

Always a delight. One of the best in town! Open all afternoon serving delicious smoked meats in the back garden. Dog friendly too. The staff are so helpful and accommodating. Harvest also serves a super selection of craft beers. A must visit for your trip! We will be back again very soon 😁

Myself & my wife enjoyed what was a perfect Sunday outside in the smokehouse @Harvest.
Firstly greeted by the nice staff, then started off with a couple of pints one being the India Pale Ale then I finished off with a Harvest Smokey IPA which matched my Pulled pork Burger.
We were both very satisfied with our experience & highly recommend to anyone. Thanks, will be back again

We had the ribs, the smoky wings, the pulled pork. The children all wanted the burger followed by the delicious icecreams with marshmallow.

The food and the very refreshing beers, topped off with truly exceptional service made this lunch visit a highlight of our holidays. We'll be back for sure.

Wow, I literally have not much more words than that. The Smoked BBQ Beef ribs are a must. Best BBQ Beef ribs I've eaten in my life. The staff are absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere is also great. Either lunch or dinner is recommended.

Harvest is a wonderful addition to the Berry dining scene. We have dined in both the restaurant & Smokehouse & enjoyed both. Love that the garden is open 7 days for a casual meal with delicious options for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The staff were attentive & helpful. Congratulations to the Harvest Team on a fabulous opening. Ohh....the GnT’s are really good too!

One of the best dinners we’ve enjoyed out in a long while. The tuna & rhubarb entree was outstanding, the lamb & sweetbreads surprising and the peach & honey dessert was something else - actually one of the best desserts we’ve had in a very, very long time.

Kind and genuine people working here, creating a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere for us and other customers. Quick to act regarding service and was a great experience even though we only stayed for something simple like coffee and sweets 👍🏼 Also loved the music choice as it made me feel like I was dining somewhere overseas.

Great atmosphere and an exciting menu. Have eaten inside as well as in the courtyard - different but both great food!
Wine menu is solid, I only wish I was a beer drinker!

The staff were marvellous and so accommodating, they went above and beyond to serve us even in chaotic conditions. The coffee, cupcakes, smoked mushroom sandwich and fries were delicious.
