Dr. Girish was highly knowledgeable, explaining every step of the process with patience and clarity. The facility was impeccably clean, and the treatment I received was top-notch, my crown was ready in less than an hour!. I had my best experience that I’ve ever had today at Island dental. I have dental trauma and I’m always a little bit anxious when I step into the dentist. From the moment I called to make an appointment I was put at ease by Bec who took the time to really listen to my concerns re past experiences. Even though there wasn’t appointments for a couple of weeks available, I was given an appointment the next day as a cancellation had appeared.

The staff at front of desk could not have been lovelier, and dentist Sam Yeoh was extremely gentle and compassionate, And took the time to explain what I needed to know with great patience. What I have found to be quite a painful experience at other dentists was a very different story at Island dental.

When things did get a little uncomfortable, when the dentist touched on a nerve as they are exposed in my mouth in places, dental assistant Kate was quick to soothe me by gently giving my arm a rub. What an Angel. I’m hypersensitive in many ways and this is definitely the dentist for me. I am so glad that my intuition and fabulous reviews I found led me to this wonderful dental practice. Upon walking into Island Dental I was immediately struck by the warm welcome I received from Hayley and Bec,. Dr Sam and nurse Swati whom I received my treatment of root canal today, I was overwhelmed by the professionalism and genuine commitment to treat my toothache. Prior to treatment Dr Sam explained everything in great detail, this made me feel I was in the best hands. I truly have never had such an amazing Dentist who knows his trade! My boyfriend and I have been on a longer travel through Australia and wanted to get a basic check and clean of our teeth. A lot of the dentists around Hobart did not have short-term appointments available. Dental Island Hobart could not only offer us appointments only two days after we called them but especially front desk manager Bec has been very nice and kind on the phone. Getting a short term appointment is great when you are travelling and do not want to spend weeks in the same place.

Filling our Patient Medical Form online ahead of our appointment went very smooth. The team in the practise was great and especially Bec welcomed us very heartly when we arrived. The rooms are very modern and clean and have a cozy atmosphere. We got checked by Dr Wong and she was just amazing. The examination was very professional and as pleasant as it could be. We also needed a letter for our insurance afterwards and she wrote a very good description what was done. We can 100 % recommend this dentist. Especially if you are a traveler the whole team has been so warm and welcoming. 5 of 5 starts, in our eyes they would deserve 10. We were very happy with the whole experience and can recommend Dr Wong and the Dental Island Hobart team very much.

I never write reviews (ever) but I am just so impressed by the warmth and professionalism of the entire team at Island Dental. Dr. Giselle is absolutely wonderful - she has the most beautiful manner and provided the highest standard of care I think I’ve ever received from a medical professional. All the staff are superb, the clinic is aesthetically pleasing and the overall atmosphere is just the best. Highly, highly recommend.

I walked into Island Dental Surgery embarrassed, anxious and toothless.

As most human beings, I haven’t been the consistent one to attend my regular check ups and knew this may bring judgement in the back of of my mind being an overthinking 28 year old human..

But, I was greeted by the exact opposite.

The front of house reception staff with their smiles, genuine care and professionalism and somehow understanding my gibberish after my sessions with inflated lips.

To Joey and Bec, my dental doctor and nurse, huge shout out to teaching me patience and always being able make me cry with laughter and not judging my toothless self at all and making me feel comfortable and looked after without fail.

This is the only Dental Clinic I would recommend to friends, family and Toothless people of Tasmania.

Have been going to this dental clinic since we moved to Hobart 5 years ago and have had nothing but professional and caring experiences. Highly recommend all dentists here and always feel welcomed by the front desk ladies too! Just yesterday had to go in for an emergency consult with my 2 yr old son and they squeezed me in last minute and were so good with him!

Bec was absolutely delightful and informative on the phone. Emergency appointment booked within a 2 hour window due to the pain I was in, finances invoiced on a compassionate decision as to not leave me short until payday.

Sam is a easy going individual who I am more than happy to trust with my teeth, soft but firm with removing the wisdom tooth, excellent care and very informative with post care information.

Bec even checked in after the appointment to make sure that all had gone well, outstanding service ! I would recommend Island dental to anyone and anytime !!

The whole experience was perfect!
The online booking is very simple to use and even though I wasn’t a patient, I received a call first thing to ask if I’d like to come in earlier as I was in extreme pain!
The follow up messages from Bec until I went to the appointment, the professionalism and care was very appreciated as I was in so much agony!

Great dentist. Island Dental is a welcome, fresh take on going to the dentist. A contemporary, friendly practice. A Tasmanian family business that’s about patient care and wellbeing more than than the $$$, like my last Hobart dentist. Here I get choices. AfterPay, treatment options, customer service at reception that appreciates my business. Great with my kids. Try it. You’ll like it.
