Story House Early Learning Lara

Working at Story House Lara has been an absolute joy. The close-knit connections we form with the families and rural setting create an beautiful experience for everyone. It's heartening to see the children flourish in such a nurturing environment, especially in our big outdoor yard and I'm grateful to contribute to their growth. The strong sense of community here makes it feel like a second home for both the children and the staff. I'm proud to be a part of a team that prioritizes the well-being and development of these children.

My 16 mo old daughter and I love this place. The educators are so approachable, understanding, knowledgeable and caring. The facilities are great, very spacious with lots to keep the kids entertained and I particularly love their outdoor area!
Their food is varied, nutritious and delicious! I love how they have the menu of the day at the entrance, I always know exactly what they’re eating during the day so I can plan dinner accordingly.

I frequently receive updates/photos of my little one and her little friends showing what they’re up to during the day 😍, what they’re learning, the new skills they’ve developed etc. I truly value this 🙏

They have fresh fruit, cookies and coffee! On the hallway as well as birds, an aquarium and a book station that my daughter adores! Sometimes my daughter doesn’t want to leave this place!!

I highly recommend this place specially if you deal with separation anxiety (like me). They’re really good communicators and work with you to build up your confidence. During the 6 months that my daughter has been attending the snr nursery and then the junior toddler room there haven’t been many staff turnovers which I found really helpful.

Story House Lara have been exceptional over the 5 years our family has used their service. My children's individual strengths and needs have been paramount and communication between staff members has been faultless. I receive regular updates on the experiences my children have throughout the day and the indoor and outdoor play spaces offer a range of opportunities for development. Story House have been professional and receptive to feedback and always strive for quality. Story House is honestly incomparable to what other centres offer to my children. Thank you!

The team and all the Educators at Story House Lara are amazing! They go above and beyond to ensure your children are well looked after and have a great day when at the centre. My little one struggled a bit to settle at the start/I was nervous putting her into care and Chloe and Amber in the babies room made both my child and myself feel so comfortable and made the process so much easier. Highly recommend.

My two children are always happy with their educators, and the staff have a great energy and very caring. And always happy to tell you how your child’s day has been. My children have also learnt so much since attending story house, they’re talking more, learning heaps and interacting with other children well, I’m sure my two keep them on their toes. The staff really do treat you like family. Great job guys!!

My twins have attended this facility since they were 11 weeks old. I am a single father. During the transition to daycare and myself back to work they have supported me 110% the whole way through. The way the educator interact with the children, guide the children and the overall Love they have for both the children and their chosen career is absolutely exceptional. I just wish I could give it more than five star reviews. Highly recommend this early learning Centre to everybody

The centre is well presented the staff are all welcoming and always make you and your children feel at home and comfortable! Since both my daughters have been here I've noticed massive improvement in their social & educational strengths and even there behaviour and emotional development.

We have attended Story House Early Learning Lara, for almost 4 years now. My eldest has attended since he was 6months old and he absolutely loves it there. My youngest (1yr) has also attended since 6mo and is thriving!

SHEL Lara are great at communication and keeping us as parents constantly informed. They're always teaching and challenging our little ones with new creative and innovative ways. My eldest loves his educators and my little one now creating new bonds...they're like our second family.

Through the challenges of covid, the educators have done their utmost to keep consistent as well as keeping our children safe in such challenging times.

Our family has been with Story House Early Learning for over 4 years. They have a highly experienced team of educators and management who are super passionate about our kids, their learning and development and are super warm and caring. They honestly treat us like family and we have built a super relationship with the team. When I watch how my two kids interact with the educators and the bond they have developed you can clearly see how hard the educators work to develop this with the kids.
The team will cater to every kids/parents needs and goals and are very supportive and proactive. They have the same staff on and an educator from each of my kids room on in the morning which makes morning drop-offs so much easier for all of us!
We are in constant communication everyday via the Story House app, through our conversations at the end of the day and every educator works together to build a relationship with every kid. This is very obvious when we do early drop off in the family room and/or have a late pick-up in the family room. There is a real team spirit here and you can see the kids are happy and cared for by everyone. The team and management this year have worked super hard to build and develop this culture.
There are daily updates with photos, what activities the kids are doing, strong links to the curriculum, skills focus going forward and I can track my kids routine all day. It's super easy to navigate.
The facilities are amazing. Rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and organised and there are endless activities to entertain and stimulate the kids learning so much so that my toddler is always trying to sneak toys home in his pockets!! Educators are very in tune with giving the kids a variety of experiences and learning opportunities and really celebrate the multicultural and diversity of our lovely Lara community. They wil share their planners so it's wonderful to get the big picture and overview of what is happening for the year with the kids. They will update and amend as necessary and keep us in the loop with this too.
The outside facilities are fantastic and the biggest and best that I have seen in Lara. The outdoor space is super important for my kids to get out let off some steam. It has beautiful playground equipment, huge sandpits that my kids adore and so much more.
If you are new to Lara or just curious about how this centre works it is well worth taking a tour, speaking to management and seeing how beautiful the staff are with the kids.

We recently moved our 3 children from another local centre to Storyhouse and wish we had done it sooner! Our children have settled in so well and made so many great friends in their short time there so far. Drop offs are so much more calm and relaxed comparing to the old centre they attended. The staff have always tended to all of our children's needs and have a very stringent allergy plan, which is super important to us with one of our kids having multiple allergies. The educators are great communicators and utilise the Storypark app regularly to keep us up to date throughout the day, along with a run down at pickup on what they have been up to for the day. The centre is warm and welcoming, staff are always happy and smiling, and the resources and play spaces are of very high quality. The centres core values are impressive, and so is the menu! Our kids looove the food! We feel so at ease knowing our kids are in amazing hands, getting a very high quality education and being nourished with nutritious and delicious food, whilst we work. If you are considering touring or enrolling your children at Storyhouse, don't think twice - highly recommend.. amazing, amazing, amazing!

We love it. I spent days searching for a kinder in Lara and one day I called the centre, have never visited the centre but secured a spot to orientate and I knew it was the one. When the first visit came, fell in love with setting straight away. The next day we started. When you know, you know. The centre has a beautiful warm and homely feeling, open, big and inviting. Everyone is friendly, even staff members that we didn't know, they welcomed us like family. Thanks Dayna, LeeAnne and all the staff at Storyhouse Lara ❤

The staff were excellent and great childcare center my daughter loves it there and I am also working in there. They were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. It was fantastic that all the meals and snacks were provided as well as nappies which made packing for the day very easy.

Story house is an amazing child care centre there are a lot of wonderful staff they look after the kids amazingly I would recommend this day care for your child they have helped my son a lot thank you

Storyhouse lara has been a wonderful place for my grandchildren to access, grow and learn. From pyjama day to crazy hair day, theres always something to make us grandparents laugh every single day. I highly recommend the centre to my friends and family , I have had 3 children at the centre and they go above and beyond for the them and their needs.
My twins still go to Storyhouse and will be there through to kinder as they just love all the educators.

We have moved to story house from another center and I cannot praise them enough, you have made settling in so much easier. Amazing communication between educators and everything is passed on to who ever is on pick up duty! Highly recommend!
