King Of The Castle Cafe

My partner and I visit regularly and we love the place. The owners are caring and hands-on, the staff is friendly, welcoming, positive and overall amazing, the food is great. It's always our go-to each time we head for our breakfast or brunch.

The only (very slightly) negative thing is that there is a roulette when it comes to gluten free bread replacement for my partner. Sometimes they'll have this amazing and delicious gluten free sourbread alternative, sometimes it just comes as a toasted slice of supermarket-like bread like most other places offer. Regardless of that, the food is delicious and we'd definitely recommend it.

On our way to great ocean drive , walked into this cafe at 8am in the morning and it was already full . The food was soo good , simple , yet satisfying to the soul . Left the place feeling content and happy .
We had the eggs Benedict , smashed avo toast , French toast , ham n cheese toast and coffee.

Great cafe! Worth checking out. Had a mocha and hotcakes. The hot cakes were AMAZING! Mocha was also very nice. The vibes are cool and service was good. I liked that the music was a mix of genres.

We had a father's day breakfast here. I took a chance and tried the Thai Eggs. I was rewarded for my risk taking nature and can't believe I've been eating boring poached eggs on sourdough for years.

The flavours were phenomenal, absolutely bursting with complimenting ingredients. The chutney was the main event, which I will try to replicate at home. Service was excellent, the atmosphere wonderful. Very enjoyable father's day breakfast. Highly recommended

Brunch, breakfast, coffee and more. With lots of seating and open air available it’s very busy on most day offs (weekend/holidays) so booking for groups is essential.

Staff was stressed but respectful and helpful. Our young waiter was overwhelmed the day we walked in were able to be seated (2 adults/2 kids). Seated promptly as the morning brunch lunch was finishing up.

Menu has options for all that are interested. Different diets were catered for and supported with substitutions.

The food was glorious, the hotcakes were a kid for the kids. We substituted the ice cream for coyo. Maple syrup was plentiful and the fluffy was was good.

Eggs Benedict was set on a large plate and made for a good eat.

French toast was a hit as well and everyone enjoyed trying a little bit.

Coffee is served up for walk-ins along with a pastry and the wait didn’t seem to long for it either. Soy latte was good and worth it.

We will be back and even though it’s out of our neighborhood.

Haven't been for a while it has always been a fave Cafe when we want some brilliant food and great atmosphere. I'm vegan so I'm always so excited to have options I can order and no adjustments! Amazing Cafe, great service, devine food a total winner for dates with friends, family or hubby. 🥰 vegan tacos are so yummy buy ask for a few napkins 🤣 yellow dressing everywhere.

A nice spacious brunch place on the main strip in Geelong. We were sat at the back (next to the gas hot water unit) which was nice and airy but possibly questionable (you can smell the gas when it activates, but thankfully it's only a little).

Brunch itself was good. Had the beef bagel, and cauliflower tacos. Really wanted the Hole in Bagel but it looks like the menu has changed!Would recommend this place for anyone looking for a decent brunch in Geelong.

The flavours of the avocado breakfast… unbelievable. It was a strategically beautiful combination of flavours that danced so well together. Pure perfection.

Breakfast wasn't cheap but what you would expect to pay at a cafe but it was really well cooked, tasty food.

I would like to come again and try the other things. We will come back here for sure!

So great! This has become our regular treat. Such delicious food and friendly staff. We love the self poor chai latte and I honestly grave for their freshly squeezed orange juice! I definitely recommend.

Honestly, the best breakfast we've had in ages!
Also, it's the best cafe we found in Geelong.
It's a great open, bright, light and airy space that's beautifully fitted out.
Even though it's super busy the service didn't suffer at all - staff are so friendly and superb.

Menu is excellent. The scotch eggs were incredible! The breakfast tacos were top notch too.
There's lots of seating available inside and outside out front.
It's definitely worth calling ahead to book a table before arriving.

Front of house was helpful, attentive and prompt. Menu had a wide variety of savoury and sweet dishes and treats 👍 Ordered the Pork Scotch Egg, absolutely delicious, egg cooked beautifully with good crunchy crumb. Very balanced dish with tasty baked beans, mushrooms, goats cheese, seeded mustard and sour dough 😋😋😋 Lactose-free laté was a smooth, dark blend, good temperature with lovely art. Awesome experience can't wait to go back!! 🤟

Had brunch at King of the Castle Cafe with the family of all adult kids including their partners and x3 dogs. The waiter was nice enough to place us at the back deck, fired up the gas heaters and took our coffee orders. Served fast. Very polite people even gave a bowl for pooches drink. A bit noisy at the back deck as it is facing the freeway but I guess it’s better than not allowing the dogs with their humans. Good job guys , your cafe is well recommended. Price is reasonable and food was also nice.

This was highly recommended on the cafe list in Melbourne at Geelong. Just had to try it! Cafe had a nice ambience, staffs were also very welcoming. Great selection of food. Chose the Chocolate Pancakes and the Big Breakfast. Portion was huge, couldn't finish the pancakes thou they were really nice. Highly recommended to try this once!!

Would have to be one of the best casual dining experiences I've had. Every aspect shone, service, coffee and meals were excellent. All our 3 meals were delicious, beautifully presented and unique, It's just a pity we don't live closer. Will definitely return, many thanks to all the staff 👍

Was very busy and had to wait for table.
Had a fabulous brunch with friends and they even did a light brunch dish for my friends daughter.
Great food worth the wait!

Busy little place, got a spot outside (per our request) on share table . Waffles with poached fruit, breaky bagel with poached egg and eggs benny with bacon. It was delicious, coffee was nicely made too.
