My experience of Dr Chakravarty, his staff, and the Pindara Hospital, has been exemplary. Skill, experience, communication ..all so excellent. The most important factor for me was that I felt safe. And my interaction with and care of Dr Chakravarty and Pindara hospital ensured that I did so.

To put it bluntly, I have never met such an awful doctor. Absolutely no compassion or understanding for his patients. I was initially told by him that I shouldn’t have a colonoscopy done (even though I was showing him test results showing something was very very wrong) but because I didn’t have symptoms he thought it wasn’t important.

Turns out I have 2 massive potentially cancerous polyps and 1 small one. He did one colonoscopy and removed 1 out of the 3 polyps and blaming me for not being able to remove the larger polyps due to not having done the bowel prep correctly even though I did. He then booked me in for a second colonoscopy and decided 5 minutes before to change what he wanted to do but couldn’t do it that day. (meaning I had to starve myself for 2 days and do bowel prep, a call the day before would’ve been much appreciated).

He consulted a surgeon who REFUSED to do this surgery and the doctor told me it’s because it would “cost too much” and he “doesn’t find it morally right” (what does that even mean??) and wouldn’t give me any other explanation and ended up hanging up the phone on me because I kept asking for more information because of how confused and anxious he left me feeling. I didn’t feel supported AT ALL. AT ANY STAGE.

It’s been evident this whole time that he has awful manners and no professionalism, constantly minimising my worries and speaking down to me like an idiot. The state of his office should’ve put me off the second I walked in there. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Similar to other reviews. Always running at least 45 mins late for appointments. Had a colonoscopy done was asked to be there first thing in morning and didn't have the procedure until after 2PM. Ridiculous

Very rude Dr with no bedside manner. Always rushed to get patients out the door despite high fees. No outcome or management plan despite diagnosis. Very frustrating and waste of money and time. Have since seen my parents gastroenterologists who has confirmed diagnosis and provided treatment.

My doctor referred my parents to this place and they never got their gastroscopy done. My parents arrived 15 mins early for the appointment and waited two hours, and never got gastroscopy. The receptionist only told them to wait longer when my parents approached them and they never apologised, or gave them update on how longer they should wait. Gastroscopy requires the patients to fast from the night before until the procedure is done. If the receptionist had even the slightest bit of knowledge and sympathy, they shouldn't have any patients waiting 2 hours, starving. Also it was not the kind of service we expect for paying $1200 (this was the price we were told for gastroscopy).

Do not waste your time with this Dr. He does two procedures when you only need to have one! To be put under anaesthetic twice in a matter of days when both the colonoscopy and gastroscopy can be done in one sitting is atrocious- talk about money grab and poor patient welfare!!

Waste of time . This doctor makes you wait for an hour for your appointment, even though you let receptionist know you have to get back to work soon . Very frustrating. No respect or consideration at this clinic.
