The Odd Frog - Luxury secluded studio accommodation.

The Odd Frog is an exceptional place to stay. The accomodation is clean and provided everything we needed for our 6 night stay. It is only a very short stroll, ride into delightful Bright, but we enjoyed hanging out on the balcony in the evenings watching the ever changing sunset. The kitchen, including BBQ is well equipped for meal provision.
The mattress and pillows on the bed were super comfy.

Amazing cosy lodges nestled into the bush, perfect for a romantic getaway.

The property is Land for Wildlife (no fur babies), so expect to be sharing your space with plenty of kangaroos. And remember they night not follow the one way driveway rule.

The new owners are great hosts who are passionate about the property and the area.

Definitely be visiting again.

My stay in Studio 4 was exceptionally pleasant and so very relaxing. It was equipped with all essentials. I felt I was in a tree house surrounded by a variety wildlife including kangaroos. The welcome basket of food essentials for the morning breakfast was a delight. The resort is truly a biker’s dream with trails nearby. But one does not need a bike to hike to the many destinations or to walk to Bright, just a 15 minute walk to the delightful town that features numerous eateries, specialty stores, churches, a peaceful park with a trail along it’s river that can lead to other towns. I would return to The Odd Frog in a heartbeat!

My husband and I are active mountain bikers. We love single tracks and the challenge of a well laid out trail. We also love nature walks. This was our first visit to the Odd Frog and it certainly will not be our last. The view from our room was spectacular. We loved sitting on the balcony listening to the native birds and watching the kangaroos. Every morning we went mountain biking. The biking trail was near our front door which is super convenient for mountain biking enthusiasts, like ourselves. In the evenings we liked to walk downtown for a bite to eat and enjoy the local festivities and shops. It was an easy 10 minute walk downtown. I would highly recommend the Odd Frog to active couples looking for an adventure!

The Odd Frog was the perfect place to spend our 25th Wedding Anniversary. It was secluded but still within easy walking distance to town. James and Kylie were sensational host with our breakfast basket full of local produce and then a few extras to help us celebrate. We absolutely loved this place.

We stayed here for our honey moon, it was such a lovely place to stay! We loved it so much. Felt like we were living in a treehouse. Every morning you wake up to kangaroos in the bushes underneath the studio. Hosts were so lovely and very accommodating. We took our bikes and rode everyday. Only a short walk into town. It was clean tidy and so cosy. Would 💯 stay there again!! :)

Peaceful, relaxing, tranquil weekend that was in a magical location. Walking distance to shops with some walking paths and bike riding all close by. Loved our time on the balcony and observing wildlife. Was beautiful to see mother kangaroo and the interaction with her Joey. Will be a returning customer.

Wonderful wildlife retreat right on the doorstep of the beautiful town of Bright.
Four of us stayed in Studio 5. We loved the deck and open plan kitchen.

A beautiful property set in bushland and is really something to be seen. Along with wildlife, hiking, mountain biking a great stay thanks.

Lovely rooms set on acres of bush only a short walk from Bright town centre. Kangaroos and native birds were wonderful but our highlight was seeing an echidna!

Our stay at the Odd Frog was excellent! We stayed in Cabin 1 and did it deliver! We were provided wood to light the fire and the room and surrounds are clean and it felt like home! Had a kettle toaster, crockery and cutlery which was great. Waking up in the trees was wonderful! I can not speak highly of this place and the owners! They provided us with a late check out with no extra charge and they accommodated to our needs with no hassle! We love nature and listening the calmness was so peaceful. Having a local candle in the room which can be lit was a nice touch. Thank you Jacqx and the Odd Frog team for putting the cherry on top for our great weekend! Cannot wait to come back!

couldn’t recommend this accomodation enough , was so nice coming in lighting a fire and toasting marshmallow after seeing the snow short distance by .so nice to come back to the wooden cabin and having a hot double shower over look nature through the glass windows and lucky enough to get greeted on the balcony by kookaburras in the morning. great location and staff :)

I stayed here over New Years & it was the perfect ending to a turbulent 2020.
A slice of heaven at the end of a picturesque drive 3.5 hours from Melbourne. This eco gem has everything you need and could want for a relaxing weekend away. On the top of the hill just up from town with breathtaking views, waking up to the serenity of the Aussie bush land the fresh air on your face if you want to forget everything & unwind this ticks all the boxes. I stayed in cabin 3 with a spa bath & honestly thought about never leaving. This is my second time staying at the Odd Frog whether it’s summer drinks on the balcony watching the sunset over the valley or winter snuggling by the fireplace do yourself a favour & book in you won’t regret it.

Fantastic escape. Very secluded, the spa looks out onto bushland which is so relaxing. You can open the balcony doors and take in the sights of a beautiful sunset over the mountains. We have stayed in 2 separate occasions & the views from both "tree houses" were fantastic. Its just a short trip into town and there are some nice walks you can do right out of the door. Not recommended at all for kids. This is a couples retreat 100%

Beautifully designed eco studios so close to nature & wildlife as well as the Bright township, yet very private.
The spaces maximise & reflect the gorgeous alpine countryside elements in a stunning way.
Lovely, generous hosts. We never wanted to leave.

Not my first visit and won't be my last.
The studios are cosy and are as pretty in person as they are in photos.
The views are beautiful - whether viewed from the bed in the morning, the couch in the afternoon, or the spa at any time.
There's nothing better than coming back in the evening, starting a fire and being surrounded by the bush and the timber that makes up the studio itself. Definitely a great place for couples.

Lovely and cozy cottage with amazing view when you wake up in the morning. It’s great idea for weekend getaway in winter as they have a good wood fireplace which keep you warm for a whole night. We’re looking forward to coming back next year

Stayed here for a weekend away with my Girlfriend. Could not recomend with higher regard. Perfectly secluded and substantial cabins. Wood fires with firewood provided. Amazing privacy and location. Short/medium walk from town. Cabins were clean, cozy and comfortable.
The managers were pleasent and went out of their way to be helpful.
Loved every second I stayed here.
