Point Lonsdale Skatepark

It's a good park but some of the metal features are rusted and there are some big cracks through the concrete

A skatepark right out of the 90s. There are some interesting choices of skate obstacles, but the standard metal quaterpipe without enough run up is there along with the metal fun-box/pyramid that has a 45 degree angle and a virtually unusable handrail down it. The concreting has most likely been done by the council. They have not used the smooth style of concrete we are used to today and have put huge join gaps at the base of all the concrete ramps...right where you hit them at full speed. Every area of concrete that is flat has been eaten away by the sea air and is rough. It is almost impossible to generate enough speed to use any obstacle. The one last thing that perplexed me is that they have put in an AstroTurf area that looks like bitumen. Watch out for that if you are rolling away from a trick.
