A wonderfully convenient and clean guest house, with all amenities you could need. It was great to have access to a fully functional and well equipped kitchen to save cost on eating out. Had own mini fridge in room, not often seen in this type of guesthouse accommodation.

What a gorgeous place. This historical guest house advertises itself as a simple guest house with good facilities at a reasonable price but over delivers ob EVERY front. Good sized clean and well designed rooms with tea coffee, fridge, WiFi etc...and...downstairs extra towels both are the pool and the bathroom...tea coffee and extra milk (we were well stocked and didn't need them).
The salt water pool has a jacuzzi in built! There have tennis courts and a basketball court and the communal kitchen is huge and very well serviced.
Minutes from the pier walking and only a couple more and you have great coffee at the seven day a week (during summer) Cafe.
All in all we had a fantastic time and wish we had have stayed longer.

My family and I have been staying here for many years and have never had any issues. Point Lonsdale Guesthouse offers a communal kitchen with fridge and freezer storage available, as well as all the cooking facilities, kitchenware and BBQ. They also offer an in-ground pool and a tennis court which our children love using.

Richards communication was faultless.
Self check in was clear and concise, very easy to follow.
The guest house is fabulous, perfect amenities and additional little special touches.
The communal lounge, with games, open fire & extra glasses encourage you to sit and enjoy the quality of the renovated guest house. A little step back in time.
The location is brilliant, just a short walk to the lovely little village, and cross the road and enjoy an early morning dip in the crystal clear turquoise waters, or take a good walk into Queenscliff.
Wished we could've stayed longer.
Thank you

Richard and team have an amazing guest house. Firstly I arrived a bit early and was able to check in. Secondly I have a little chihuahua and was able to bring her. They provided a blanket for her and treats as well as a safe blocked off area outside my room for her. The room itself was very clean especially the bathroom was a very high standard. The cheese and wine they supplied on the weekend was also very nice touch. And also breakfast was supplied.
I understand the these only happen in the winter season. So my friends and I had a lovely weekend away. I give them 6/5⭐

This place was great, especially for the price. The rooms had lots of charm, and we enjoyed the pool and playing tennis on site. The location is great with access to beaches and shops.

What a lovely, characterful guest house. So homely, clean, warm and welcoming. It was so easy to book, check in and check out was a breeze. Lovely facilities and the bed was super comfortable. Highly recommended !

Extremely clean and well-organized contactless check-in process. They provides tennis kits, basketball, etc. There was a pool but maybe because the weather was too cold, it did not open. The public Kitchen had everything I needed and was maintained well.

They also provided free laundry self-service with all suppliers. To respect other guests, the laungry open until 8pm.

It was cold in the room, but they provided a heater and an electric blanket.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on the day I stayed. The supermarket is 5 minutes away.

5mins walk distance to the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse and beach.

We stayed in a family room and it was a fantastic experience.
The room was very spacious and clean. While we stayed in winter, we are looking forward to returning in summer so we can enjoy all the outdoor activities.
The self serve kitchen is fantastic, with everything you need for meals or a gathering and we were lucky enough for a free breakfast being a winter booking.
Highly recommended 👌

Self check-in. It's the only way, when you live the last minute life that I live. Checked in, went to bed, woke up, had coffee overlooking the beach. Felt like a holiday, even though it was a cold, hard business trip.
Coldn't fault it.

Stayed here with my parents for 1 night on the way to the Great Ocean road. Booked a room with 1 double and 1 single bed.

Great points:
1. Exceptionally clean and nice look of the room and guest house overall
2. Room well equipped with modern appliances such as a heater, hair dryer, heated blankets, complimentary tea/cookies/coffee/sugar, small fridge, kettle and soap + shampoo. It was obvious that everything had been carefully thought out! Well done team.
3. Quiet despite having many rooms adjacent to one another
4. Free continental breakfast

To improve:
1. Although check in was easy and contactless, it would’ve been nice to know who to speak to in person if we needed anything or had questions about where to eat or where to go for sightseeing. However, pamphlets were available on a table in the hallway.
2. Room was a bit crowded and small to fit the double and single bed

This is what hospitality is about, the rooms were lovely, it has a welcoming feel that is cosy but also quiet and allows you to unwind.
We had a family long weekend with ages ranging from 86 to 18months, and it met the needs of all ages and allowed us to relax and recharge. The beach, shops and coffee places are all within walking distance. You can travel out to others towns or just leave your car keys in the bag and walk to everything you need or want to do.

The Richard and the staff are amazing there was so much generosity in all the equipment in the kitchen, the tennis court, the pool.

Highly recommend Point Lonsdale Guest House

I stayed in the lovely old style Guest House (my 3rd stay in 3 years). Lady Bolinger Room on 1st Floor is comfortable and self contained. Verandahs offer outside seating and view I g of the Lighthouse. Winter Continental Breakfast was a plus and the Restaurant offered excellent food.

This guest house is an absolute delight. You go back in time staying here. Rms 20 to 23 are up the stairs so if this is an issue for older legs and knees, don't book these ones. We had room 23. The stairs were not an issue even with having to carry a suitcase up. The room was lovely, warm, overlooked the balcony. Had its own little table and chairs. Robes in the closet. Own bathroom which was just across the corridor which we didn't mind. Not in the room like the other rooms upstairs. The balcony lights went off at 10pm each night. There is a little tea room upstairs with fridge and microwave and tea/coffee supplies. It was generally quiet until the restaurant opened. Flooring is old fashioned floor boards which is lovely but the noise level in Rm23 was just too loud for my liking. It would stop at 1030pm but no chance of getting to sleep early with the noise. If this could be rectified, it would be perfect.
On Saturday afternoon, the guest house put on complimentary cheese and wine in the Lady Nelson lounge. Lovely opportunity to meet other guests. How rare is this sort of thing. We were notified via email that day.
Breakfast in the conference room was easy. Different cereals and breads were set out, see pictures, microwave for making porridge.
There are quite a few rooms with the guest house. We were up the front but the venue extends further back with many more rooms. There's a pool for summertime visitor's and a camp style kitchen for full self catering.
Would certainly recommend staying here.

Calm, clean, getaway. Beautifully located stones throw from the beach. Got an old classic, vintage experience.

Wonderful, old-school guesthouse. We loved our one night and will definitely return. The rooms are pleasant, but the highlight was finding a lovely sitting room with warm fire. We used the communal kitchen to make dinner and breakfast and greatly appreciated the generous touches such as marshmallows for the fire-pit, today’s newspapers on the kitchen table and a good coffee machine with pods provided.
