Point Lonsdale Jetty

Great to walk out on and watch the shipping but also when was there saw some big salmon caught as well as a huge squid. A beautiful part of the world

It is an amazing place to fish around because there are lots of fish around that are unique, a bin for your rubbish, a water tap to clean your stuff and fishing rod holders. It also has a stairway to access the beach.
Overall I would recommend this place for fishing. Remember to read the park board before fishing.

Awesome spot to wet a line and also just to view the amazing flow of the ocean. I was fortunate to take home two Salmon before the weather turned. Will definitely be back. ...p.s... there's a lot of sea grass, so come prepared.

Easy access from the car park, this well maintained jetty is popular with fisher men and also a good place to watch the surfing classes on the beaches. It has rod holders installed and a fish cleaning area. Very photogenic

Beautiful jetty with some fabulous views. Point Lonsdale is pretty secluded and there's an amazing, almost untouched beach nearby. You're right at the entrance to the bay, so it's really interesting watching the waves here. Plenty of fisherman on the Jetty too, and some nice views of the nearby lighthouse.

Great point for fish catching. Easy access from the car park. Can access the beach. Nice view.

Beautiful place to catch fish and relax and watch ships sail from Port Phillip Bay to Bass Straight and vice versa.

Can be big swells if its windy

If you go to the lighthouse, this is also a must go. Good view for birdwatching if you have a powerful camera. Mine was able to get a glimpse of some Albatrosses while I was there in June.

Great place to fish if they made it 1 person one pole. Too many greedy fishermen out there doing it needs to be illegal and policed.
Had an ok day otherwise. Can get very windy though.

A must visit when in Point Lonsdale. This jetty is clearly very popular for fishing aficionados. Do carry your fishing rod, bait and tackle if you're coming up to this jetty, which juts out far into the ocean and is said to yield a lot of fish!

Great place to fish, explore and see historic light tower.

It can get windy and cold so rug up. The view from the tower hill is fantastic. Parking is easy and not very far to pier.

Watch out for big waves. When the tide is coming in watch out for sea weed on your line.

Beautiful walking on the Jetty just the guy see the fisherman watchs the ship's coming in and out but just make sure your dogs are on lead in case you friend falls in cause the current will take him out

Great pie that gets the regular anglers here for their catch.
Located near the lighthouse, there is plenty of parking here along with views to ‘the heads’.
Lighthouse is visible from beach and you can explore with viewings into the lighthouse held on a regular basis.
This is a great place to swim and snorkel although I was told there was sharks here plus the rip can be treacherous. Read all the signs (which there are lots), as they given essential information.
Toilet facilities are nearby. Carpark is a good size. No shops at this end of the bay so bring all your own stuff.
