Bob - I am a member of Maroochy River in Qld and had the opportunity to play at Lonsdale Links Golf Club. What an amazing club! The fairways and the greens are fantastic and sometimes challenging which makes play so much better. The team at the golf shop welcomed me enthusiastically and even arranged for a current member to play to show me the course. 10 out of 10 all round.

8 of us made our trek down to Lonsdale Links for our golf trip day. Most of us have not played this course before. I myself loved playing links golf with big greens with a lot of contours .

A big congratulations to the grounds staff for presenting such a high standard golf course. They were very friendly when we passed them on the course.

The face of the golf club is the staff in the pro shop. I had a great experience. The guys were very friendly and helpful. They answered my queries and assisted with finding me a double golf marker. They went above and beyond to help me.

Well done guys. 👏 👏👏👏 This experience will make me come back again for another round with the boys.

Wow, what a great golf course! Played two rounds within two days because I just loved it so much! The course is better. The second time you play, and I imagine it would get better. The course was quirky and unique and extremely fun to play for golfers of various levels of skill.

On the first round I was paired with two members, who were both lovely people to play with. Other experiences with other members were also a delight as they were exceptional people!

The blokes in the pro shop were lovely and always wanted the best for the customer, as they acted in our best interest.

Only thing I could fault about the Lonsdale links is the driving range, as the grass which your are hitting off is very chopped up, maybe I was there at a bad time.

Very special thanks to the Pro Shop team at Lonsdale Links for making our group of 12 feel very welcome and to the greenstaff and OCM for such a fun and playable course and retaining the natural habitat👍

Amazing course. Loved the intricacies and that shots had t be well planned and executed. Also loved that a course can be so much fun and enjoyable and not have to be so long as to make it unpleasant to play.
The hospitality was also very good.

Fantastic course and facilities. Our group of 8 thought it was a fantastic, fun and challenging layout. Pro shop extremely helpful, and a great burger at the end of the round!

Well worth a visit. This is a very different golf course from the norm. Some beautiful looking holes, & some memorable views, but you would need to play it a few times to get the best experience out of it.
Many holes are blind or semi blind when it comes to picking the line to hit, or where to miss it. Some greens have enormous drop offs on one side, & you will pay dearly if you hit it there. Once on the greens, you will need to be putting well, as some of these greens are like nothing you have ever seen. Have a look at a couple of my photos. Large, but with huge undulations, humps, & hollows. Put it in the wrong spot on the green & you'll be in a world of pain. Overall, staff are friendly & helpful, the course is in good condition & fun to play. I imagine it would be brutal in the wind, or docile on a nice, warm, windless day. I recommend taking a cart as it would be a long walk. I've made it sound like a tough track, but it's quite fun to play, & you'll enjoy your golfing experience here..

One of the best Golf experience that I have. it is above expectation, great golf course….well maintained…soft fairway anything I saw in this course was beautiful.
Good club house, great staff full of hospitality.
Don’t forget to read the green very well, it looks easy but it is challenging.

What a superb golf course, the layout is quirky the greens are pure, undulating and receptive - but most of all, each hole stands up brilliantly in its own right in contrast with one another. Epic course, friendly staff, I’ll be back again soon.

Had typical links golf weather of strong winds and some showers to go with it. Despite the weather, we enjoyed the round. Course was in great condition, and the layout is quality. Can see why it is top 100 in Aus. Some really excellent golf holes.

This restaurant is the best kept secret in Point Lonsdale! Delicious food and fantastic service. The new layout has some cool comfortable couches dotted amongst the tables, and it all looks out on the panoramic view across the greens and lake. Stunning at sunset!

What a quirky, fun and challenging course. Loved the rustic layout. Hope to come back to take this course on again.

An amazing dinner at the Lonsdale Links Golf Club last night... the beautiful view was complemented by wonderful, enthusiastic staff who served us the most delicious dinner. The kingfish ceviche was really superb, the lamb curry and chicken parma absolutely delicious and everything was topped off with a delicate pear tart and tiramisu for dessert. Huge appreciation to the chefs. Thank you for such a fabulous meal out!

The course was in fantastic condition. The layout was challenging, but also forgiving enough for mid-handicappers. Greens were consistent pace throughout and weren't too fast either.

Our annual golf trip started with a round at Lonsdale Links. The Pro Shop staff were fabulous, the course was so much fun and the facilities as good as anywhere. Highly recommended

What a stunning golf course. The clubhouse and facilities are first class. The course is short but challenging and the greens are the best and most unique I’ve played. The road hole copy is fantastic.

Alps, Eden, Biarritz, Redan, Road; there are no more famous holes in golf. Incorporating template holes, Lonsdale Links has taken inspiration from the game’s greatest design features and has created something incredible. The golf course integrates the greatest characteristics of the classics, and brilliantly takes enough artistic freedom to ensure that it is not a replica course.

Lonsdale is not long course, and I had a lot of short irons into the greens. But what makes the golf course great were the greens. Not all of them were huge, but there were a lot of subtle hills and mounds and other nuances that you need consider to have any measure of success. We tended to overread them and would love to take another crack at them.

The rhythm and flow of Lonsdale was seamless. Flawless really. We loved it and would not hesitate recommending Lonsdale Links!

Great course! Will definitely be a must play on the ballarine once the next 9 is finished in Dec. for now it’s 9 holes but they and extremely fun and challenging, can’t wait to play it again. Just a heads up that it’s a long walk to the 1 may tee form the car park so give yourself an extra 10-15 mins before tee off
