The road to Kiço was not so good but, when you arrive at the destination it is heaven. I choose the old way through the beach which was a road created by people , but i recommend the other when you could walk by car and than by foot, which is more safe. For the food 10/10 , i totally recommend !

Really great place to visite in Himare!

Reasonable price - 1000 Leke for 2 Sunbeds & an umbrella.

Don’t try to go there directly without a 4x4 as the road is very narrow, rocky and with potholes. We went down there with our VW Cabrio, we managed to get back up but you’ll save a lot of gray hair if you just walk there. 😉
You can park next to the soccer field and either walk down the street that Google shows you or go towards the camping site, you’ll walk thru a construction area, turn right just before entering the camping area then you can head down a nice bath along the sea. (You’ll come across one branch-off where you need to take the right path. Small hint- you’ll see a black hosepipe along the way, if you follow it you’ll stay on the correct way)

The staff was super friendly!

Also beware of sea urchins!

Only downside- no food options for vegetarians but side dishes.

I've been here twice. Once with my girlfriend in may preseason and once with friends in September end-of-season. The scenery is stunning and the prices are fair. The food is ok, nothing extraordinary but the prices should be a bit cheaper given the quality. The fish, the Tzatziki and the Greek Salat are good though!

Spent my last day in Himarë here and so glad I did, definitely a highlight of my trip! Wasn’t very busy when I visited which was nice and the food for lunch was delicious. The owners were also super lovely to me and created a nice atmosphere (though they can’t speak English, but some Italian and Spanish so communicated that way). I walked to the spot following the road google maps recommends but you can also walk along the coast line past the fire/police station were the fisherman boats stop and then past the camping sites and abandoned houses.

Great, paradisiac place with a beautiful view of the sea. This is a perfect place to enjoy the sunset and have a wonderful meal for a good price. Super worth the trip!

The kitchen closes at 6 and we arrived at 7pm, but the owners were super kind and re opened the kitchen just for us, which we thought was amazing from them. Food is super tasty and with a good price. We ordered the gambas, french fries (homemade, so good!), Greek salad and some white wine.

There are also sunbeds to spend the day (they close around 8/8.30 pm in summer at least). The view is really spectacular and secluded, with not too many people, and you can easily access the sea from stairs. The water is crystal clear and nice temperature. And if you enjoy jumping off a cliff, there's a nice platform where you can safely do so.

After an amazing swimming you can enjoy a great lunch in a private table with a beautiful view of the sea. We really had a good time. Authentic atmosphere, food prepared by people who lives right there, all of that makes you feel real vibes of the country.
Fish price is 10€. We got 2 fishes per portion.

Probably the best seafood I had in Albania. The service was great and the view equally fantastic. A bit hard to get there without a car but it is totally worth it.

Unfortunately there is no normal restaurant anymore. The very friendly owner can’t find any people to work for him that are willing to make the little walk everyday. But call him ahead with the phone number or expect to wait for one hour and he will make food for you! We only had a couple beer and enjoyed the beautiful water and views. Definitely worth a visit either way!

We went there twice. After reading the reviews, we made sure to park the car at the apartments above this place. I'm so glad we didn't attempt to drive down!!! For me, this was the best place to lie in the sun and swim. There was no loud music and no rubish, unlike every beach you go to in Albania. The guy didn't speak any English but was making jokes in Italian and always showing thumbs up and asking if all OK. That was with us. We were friendly and he was friendly to us. The others didn't get the same treatment because they didn't want to pay for the beds. Seriously, this place is built by the family in a very harsh environment, so they do need to charge to make a living. Some people want to come, enjoy the scenery, use the facilities, but don't want to pay...

Having struggled to find authentic Albanian cuisine we found this place and WOW!!! Phenomenal views, stunning freshly made local food and lovely staff. No menu, just a list of simple fresh dishes depending on what’s available - we had pan fried fish, prawns, bread, tzatziki and salad - amazing. Just what we were looking for! Would recommend to any foodie in the area and just so happens to be in the best bay for snorkelling too.

A very genuine and fresh sea food restaurant in the middle of the virgin nature, sea and rocks!
KICO, the owner, welcomes you warmly and serves the best fresh dishes you can have in HIMARA!!
We were staying in the most expensive and modern Hotel of HIMARA, but the next day we were suggested to have a late dinner at TE KICO, and that was a very good decision, as we got a completely different experience including fresh taste of fish, shrimps, season salads, cheeses and wine!
I recommend this place to everyone who wants to get the best genuine sea food in HIMARE!
Well done “TE KICO”!!

Forget about any of the other beaches around Himare, this place is paradise. Amazing atmosphere, quiet and secluded. The water is Clean and crystal clear, we spent more time exploring via snorkel than on the loungers. The owners are incredibly hospitable and welcoming.

Unbelievable Sea and Farm to Table dining experience with amazing views..worth the drive/walk... one warning...if you don't have a keep or similar car, don't drive the whole way. You will come to the last house on the right side of the road...find a spot and walk the last 5 minutes...a very nice guy--the owner of the last house took one look at our car and shook his head. We walked and it was great!!! Valentina, Kico and their 11 year old son, Chris were amazing hosts!!So worth the trip. Best meal in the Himare area!

The best place to escape from to escape from gathering of many people on the usual beaches in the south of Albania. If you go from Himara, then take the car and leave it as high as you can because the road its not so good. If you go from the beach part "Livadhi" I suggest you go on foot. It is only 10 minutes walk and a special experience. When you get to Kico, take some time to prepare food as I suggest you swim and take a seat. And, enjoy it to the maximum. Here are some of my pictures from the mid of August 2020.

Excellent beach, good amenities, selected and delicious cuisine! Recommended to all. Silvio, the administrator, is a gentelman and will help and guide your needs. Be sure to contact him beforehand by the phone number to address any questions regarding the road drive (advertised to have a 4x4). There are also options by walk or by sea from the Himara Marina. I will surely return.
