Gjipe Beach

One of the most beautiful beaches ever. You can reach it half by car and rest walking, or by boat 🚢 like us and enjoy the wonderful nature surrounded. Water seems you can drink it because is crystal clear.

One of the most beautiful beaches near Himare. From the parking lot you have to walk 15 minutes! Wear good shoes. 1500 leek for umbrella and 2 cheapies which is fair price for a small hidden beach.

Tip: when arrive, go to the left side near the rocks, there are some hidden cave and spots with shadow (If you don’t want to pay for umbrella)

The place is also a camping spot, so very cosy vibes

Anazing beach!! One of my favourotes in Albania! We even went back for a second time at the end of our vacation.
Not a lot of people, great water and you can rent SUPs and Kayak for a fair price! The canyons in the background and the whole nature around is just wonderful.
The walk there from the parking spot (300Lek) is about 25 min and its a little rocky but managable!

Note: the second time we went there, there were more people because the main season for the camping started and they put a lot more umbrellas and chairs on the beach (which are quite expensive). And with more people there was also more trash.

Because the road is rocky, wear walking shoes instead of sliders. The parking fee was 200 lek for the entire day, which is about 1.60 euro. The beach and sand are both fantastic, so it is well worth a visit. On the beach, there are four bars. It takes about 20 minutes to walk there.

30 minutes walk to the beach is really worth it 🥹😍. Low season, few people, great waves and super water temperature 🩵🫶🏻

After the climb down its a nice little beach, no sand though as usual.. Would of liked to paddle board but not worth carrying it the 40 mins walk down..

Best beach of all albania.
To reach it you have to walk for 30 minutes on a dirt street. Shoes are suggested.
You can observe the gjipe canion and at the same time gjipe beach. Just amasing.

Amazing beach.
Gjipe is an easy accessible beach by car (4WD offroad or 20 min hike), by boat from Himare, Jale, or Dhermi.
I went by car to the nearest parking place (Gjipe Parking, paid 300 Lek for the entire day) and from there I started the walk towards the beach. The terrain is easy to walk on and since there is only one way it is hard to get lost.
There are sunbeds available in Gjipe for a price of 1000Lek, restaurants, kayaking.
The water is crystal clear and the beach is amazing.
I will visit to Gjipe again.

Very nice beach! It’s a bit of a walk to get here (+-20 minutes) and you need to pay the lady at the parking place to park the car. The view while walking to the beach is nice, so its not a punishment to walk.

The beach itself is very nice, there are many beach chairs which you can just grab and there are quite some people camping here as well. It’s not a private beach, but big enough.

Make sure to bring enough water and food and sunscreen - there isn’t much shade.

Beautiful beach between cliffs! You have to walk 20 minutes aprox to get to the beach from the parking.
I read in many reviews the road was difficult, but I didn’t felt that way, it’s just full of stones. I made a picture of it for you to see.

It takes about 15-20 minutes walking to get to the beach but it is definitely worth the effort despite the scorching heat and sweat. On the way back, up the hill it is even more challenging but you won’t regret it as the beach is gorgeous. You can leave your car at the parking place which is chargeable 300 Lek. On the beach there are sun beds for rental and plenty of space to sit on your own blanket or a towel but make sure you have your own umbrella or tent to hide as there isn’t much shade nearby. A few beach bars to get refreshing drinks and crystal-clear water to cool down and have a swim. You may also take up the hiking trail into the canyon and explore the sight if you feel like. Gjipe Beach is one of the most incredible places in the coast of Albania and if you happen to drive by, make a stop and have a look around.

Gjipe is a small beach at the end of Gjipe Canyon! You need to walk down-hike but definitely worth it 😍

Very beautiful place. But you have to keep in mind, that:
1. It’s 20 mins away from the parking (but it really worth it!).
2. To reach the beach it’s better to wear dark sole shoes (cuz the path is very dusty and has red color).
3. You can reach it not only by car but by a ship as well (from Himare, Dermi cities and etc.)
Prices: parking - 300 lek (all day)
Deck-chair (for two people with an umbrella) - 1500 lek (all day).

Very quiet on the month of early March! It's really cold and we couldn't go into the sea, however comfortable to chill with carpet at the place and enjoy the colors of nature. The hike is long and rocky, quite challenging to walk non-stop as it's one direction up/down hike. Water are very clear and it is as beautiful as you can see in the pictures.

You park your car at the top of the hille and after you walk 40min in very warm conditions but it is ok even with a baby

Has to be the one of the best beaches in Albania!! The water here is special, I love bathing here 🥺 The shore is huge and the canyon is the nicest early morning exploration you can have. Get your own tent or get one from the Camping Area there.
You have to walk for quite some time from the parking place to the beach , and it's a real pain when it starts getting hot up till almost evening, but if you want the virgin, you have to do the work!!

Amazing beach! Amazing water! Amazing landscape!

Great bay but difficult to reach by car. You drive for 3km through a narrow paved road, then you have further 1.6km of walk through dirt road. Decent of around 44 floors.

My favorite beach in Albania. Paid 200 lek for parking then made the 30 min walk down the old rocky road to the beach. Even on a Thursday at 12pm, it was pretty busy but still plenty of space to put a towel down and enjoy the views and the waves. Beautiful place, well worth the walk down to the beach and the uphill walk back to the parking lot.
