Scala Bungalows

A beautiful place to stay. We can highly recommend it. It's located directly at the beach, beautifully surrounded by nature because it's at the left end of the beach. The owners put much love in every detail, it's a family owned place and if you are looking for a peaceful accommodation where you feel kind of home that's the spot you need to stay. The restaurant offers fresh and local food- a mix of Albanien and Greek food, absolutely delicious and always something special. We stayed 4 nights and we are sad to leave. Hopefully you can enjoy this little gem, too :-)

Wonderful place to stay if you want a more relaxed atmosphere. Family run by a very welcoming Greek family, great view, air conditioning, incredibly good food. I wish we could have stayed longer. We just loved it!!!

A beautiful & quiet stay directly at the beach. The view from our room was super beautiful and we could see the sun setting behind the bay. Upon arrival we got welcomed with the most delicious homemade ice tea and directly felt at home due to the kindness of the host & staff. I would totally recommend staying here for a couple of relaxing days.

Scala Bungalows gives you all the Mediterranean spirit and mood. The sea is very close and amazing. Rooms designed simply and elegantly and also a great restaurant with an amazing cuisine!

If you're looking for an authentic cultural experience, this traditional guest house is the perfect place to stay. The rooms are decorated with beautiful textiles and rustic furniture, and the staff are warm and welcoming. The guesthouse also offers delicious home-cooked meals, and you'll get to try local delicacies you won't find anywhere else. Also mama Tefta and the staf were very welcoming. Totally recommend👍

Had an amazing stay at Scala. All the staff is super friendly and the food is also very tasty. The rooms are what you expect from a bungalow with amazing ocean and sunset views. Perfect stop to relax during your trip trough Albania!

Tafta built together with her family this beautiful homestay with Bungalows and regional, homemade food. The bungalows are nice and clean and you find what you need, however they're not more than you can think for the cheap price. The quality of the homestay comes with the rich and beautiful garden and the big heart and love to nature and the people by the owner! We had a great stay and with delicious food in that calm oasis close to the beach

Stayed two nights, rooms are clean and beds are comfortable, this place is family owned Mama Tefta was very nice. Our room had a beautiful beach view, and the beach was very clean. Ate at their restaurant on the last day, had Kagianas (Albanian style eggs), club sandwiches with marinated chicken/bacon and some dessert which I forgot the name of 😅. The food was amazing. Everything was priced very well, and had an over all great time here. We’ll try to come back next time we’re in Albania!

Stayed here for three nights and it was lovely. Amazing sunset views from the terrace. Basic and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Excellent location for the beach and short coastal hikes to Himarë one way and Akqarium the other way.

Great Location, great people working there. I love the disponibilty they have. Arjola, Nica and Lindita, very friendly and lovely people. They help me with my little girl. Very delicious breakfast:). Nice experience

We spent a week at the lovely Scala Bungalows. They are very clean and comfortable. The owners are just really friendly and welcoming! I especially loved the little details that you can find everywhere throughout the complex and the view onto the shore/sea is magnificent. You should definitely ask the owners for their homemade organic olive oil. They make it from the trees just uphill. It's splendid!

Scala bungalows are situated on the mountain hill and some of them have a perfect view over the beach. The cabins are clean, well taken care of and have everything you need. The family who runs the place are very nice and helpfull. A place were you would want to stay for a longer time. The beach are only pebble stoned so you will need water shows.

We had a wonderful night. I hope to return for more days next year. Team of Scala Bungalows has created a really wonderful place. We traveled around Albania for a few days and we were a little sad about the pile of garbage all around. This place is a complete oasis and caress for the soul :) and Tefta? Amazing person :) It's a pleasure to see someone work with love.

We didn’t stay there, but enjoyed the restaurant so much we visited it twice (and would come again if we had stayed in Himara for longer). Really amazing Greek food, friendly staff and chill atmosphere. Definitely THE place to have lunch at if you’re at the Livadi beach or anywhere around.

Great place to stay!
Owners are very nice and hospitable, willing to help you with everything. Bungalows are small but you will find there everything you need - bed for two, fridge, toalete with shower. In the morning you can expect coffiee and tea :)
Beach is very near by and if you want to visit city of Himare - there is a shortcut by the coast

Great experience and super helpful staff. The owner is amazing - u will feel right at home with them. I recommend taking the deluxe room for an extra special view of the beach

Very, very lovely people. They were booked out when we arrived but tefta the owner still managed to get us a room. Very helpfull and super friendly and warm people. The place is really relaxing and beautiful made with a lot of love and the view is superb. The restaurant down the street serves fresh food.....all in all, perfekt place!!
