Cat Ba Hostel

Really nice owners who speak great English. The food is very cheap, we ate at the restaurant every day. We stayed three days and booked three different tours: national park half day, Monkey Island day, and finally the Halong Bay tour which ended in Hanoi, saving us the money on an extra bus back for our flight. Double room was clean and safe with AC, and the location is great too. Stay here if you're on Catba!

The staff are friendly and helpful. You can get a deal if you are staying longer, plus ask for the room in the back (we spent $9/day split b/w 2 ppl). For the same price they are twice as big with a free she and working air conditioning. Plus there is a back entrance. Love staying here everytime.

Very Nice place. It is very cheap and you get a little more than you expect for this price. The location is good. 2 minutes walk from the water. They book boat tours cheaper than the competitors but you are on the same boat. The boat tour we did was good.

Great location and really close to the central location. Cheapest place on Cat Ba Island. The host is really nice he is at the desk from 7am til 8pm and always there to give you advice for around the island and up for good talk!

Good affordable hotel/hostel. With airco and double beds. Everything you need if you dont have high standards. Friendly personnel, arranged everything for us.

Cheap, wonderful location within town. Helpful staff. Excursions available through the hotel. Backpacker friendly!

For that price, you can't really complain about anything. I have seen much worse places for much higher price. I would stay in Cat Ba Hostel again.
