Here you can get your ticket for the slow boat that takes you from Cat Ba to Haiphong. Cheaper but slow. Boat goes daily at 5:45 am
This place also gets you on to all types of available activities in Cat Ba. The boat tour was 2 dollars cheaper in our hotel though.

Bought a two day-one night boat tour in La Ha Bay with this company. We paid way too much - 85usd for a private cabin. When we got there, there was only a curtain for a bed in a dorm - unbelievable... We were also promised snorkeling equipment which we never got, the boat did less stops and activities than promised, they also ended the tour earlier than promised and the crew didn't understand any english. When back in Cat Ba we complained of course but we only got a small, small amount of money back and they were very rude and caused a lot of trouble for us. Would recommend booking with another company - lots of lies, bad service and high prices.
