Any time I stop in there are always people gaming and hanging out. Friendly, knowledgeable staff; an all around welcoming environment.

They give great value for trades, as well(better than any other location in the Cedar Valley to my knowledge)!

Their pricing is also in line with what you'd pay through tcgplayer without having to worry about shipping and waiting. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Stumbled across this store last fall. After a few minutes talking with the owner, he suggested I drop in and check out one of the active D&D campaigns. Ended up joining the Monday group and they became fast friends. Eventually got involved with Warhammer Wednesdays too. You won’t find a more welcoming community of gamers.

I’ve been here for warhammer paint night with my two boys 8 & 6, for a MTG prerelease. For board games (RIP), for trades. The discord app for dark vassal is so useful. On and offlinethe employees and the community that gather around this shop is so helpful. Good deals, fair prices. I wish you success and a place in the cedar valley forever!

Once I found out about this place and learned it was very close to my house I had to check it out because I use to play competitive card games in Middle School. Its been an outstanding place to rekindle that love for competition and card games. Friendly staff and owner is always going above and beyond to make sure his community is taken care of. This card shop is exactly what Cedar Falls needed for a long time. Although there are other card shops in the area most of them dont care much about the competitive aspect of them where as at Dark vassal its fueled by competition! highly recommend anyone looking to get into / back into a card game.

Great place to come and play just about any card game or board game! Owner is fantastic, staff is incredible. Deals and savings are like no other! Highly recommend stopping by and checking it out!

This is a great place too play any form of Tabletop, TCG, or Role-playing game. The owner strives too cultivate a positive environment, for all sorts of gaming. Events are weekly, and great deals are frequent! Highly recommend stopping in!

This is a fantastic Hobby Shop! Very involved local owners who care about their customers. This is also more than a store, people congregate here for table top games, card games and even Smash tournaments. Check this place out and bring a friend/significant other for a fun time!

Loved my visit to this shop. Owner is a pretty cool guy and everything is priced well. It’s a great spot to go and play games if you need one. He even has a TV set up with anime playing throughout the day.

My only complaints are that it seems very focused on the DBZ card game and Magic and that there aren’t a lot of singles to pick up. I wish there was more Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! but I’m sure that will come with time.

Overall love the shop and highly recommend people check it out!

Update: The product has diversified so much more than when the shop first opened. There’s free play times for the big games and then some. Highly recommend coming in for a visit if you’re around!!!

This is my go-to store for all my gaming needs. Great staff and wonderful play space!

Best store in town to get your game on! I highly recommend going in if you play the following mtg, Yu-Gi-Oh, DBZ Pokemon, smash bros, Digimon they have Freeplay but also hosts tournaments. A very chill environment employees are very helpful. Looking forward to many more tournaments and meeting new people that share the same hobbies.

Great little shop! The owner is knowledgeable and friendly. The variety of product they support is impressive as well. Not just an MTG shop like a lot of lgs. Digimon, dragonball super, pokemon, etc. They even have a little space to watch tv or play video games! DVG is definitely a spot ill stop at every time im in town.

Best prices, customer service and space in town. Care about the college students in town as well also

Staff has always been great to work with. They are ready to help. There is plenty of space to play various table top games and card games. With a variety of weekly tournaments.

I have had a lot of fun at DVG I love their magic draft fridays and their free EDH on Sunday. The staff are always nice and the inventory surprisingly good for such a small and new store!

Mostly card game stuff but they do have a limited amount of warhammer stuff and you can get stuff ordered in at a discount. Hope that they eventually get more space so they can carry more product but I have no real complaints and the staff (especially the owner) are awesome
