Vinyl Cup Records - Cedar Falls

This place is so cool!! My boyfriend and I were walking through the Raygun store when we saw that they were connected. Small record stores like that sometimes can feel cramped and uncomfortable but this was super cute and the guy working was very friendly (and kept my boyfriend company while I shopped). They had a great selection of new and used records, some merch, and gadgets for your records. Will be shopping again!!

I stopped in this week and my favorite employee was working, Earl! He walked around and showed off some of the incoming albums in the A-Z used to me and then we hung out for a bit and caught up. It’s always great to see Earl, he is probably one of the best parts of stopping into any of the three Vinyl Cups!

Ohh and Luke was there too…

This was my first visit and wow what a cool experience. I'm a 50 year old introvert but even I enjoyed coming here. There were people of all ages, young and old. The music was fun, and the environment relaxed. One young man said that it was his birthday so literally everyone in the shop sang him happy birthday.

The selection is insane. I purchased a few records but didn't even scratch the surface of seeing all the vinyl. I will make several more trips, probably very regularly to enjoy the shop, and pick out more music.

The variety of available music was fantastic too. I bought classical, and blues, but saw so much variety that I was literally awed. I am so grateful that a shop like this is in Cedar Valley. I highly recommend that any music fan, whether slightly or intensely into it, come and check out the shop.

The person running the place is super fun and easy to talk to - like talking to a good friend. She's extremely knowledgeable and had some great recommendations for albums, on top of also giving us some much-needed tips for finding a good record player to maintain the albums for as long as possible.
Everything is easy to find and questions are met with immediate, enthusiastic answers, even when the answer is, "I don't have that right now, but I can order it for pick up."

Lovely store with a very warm environment! The woman that helped us was so sweet and so helpful! Her knowledge of music and of the store was very impressive. She found every album we asked for, and when we asked about one she didn't have on hand she looked it up for us. Definitely plan on going back 😊

friendly & helpful staff, great selection, and good deals. they’ll order you anything specific you’re looking for that they don’t have in stock & you can also request them to preorder albums so you can pick it up on the day of release, so there’s no reason not to buy your records local! plus free beverages & they sometimes have live performances. overall a great atmosphere for music lovers!

Love shopping for vinyl at Vinyl Cup! Always a great selection of new and used records. The best part of shopping here is the customer service and atmosphere! Vinyl Cup employees always make me feel like I'm welcome!

Stopped here on our way to the Jason Isbell concert at the Val Air. Wonderful small record shop vibe, with the one on one care and attention, felt like having our own personal concierge who gave us a tour of the shop. Staff was very attentive, knowledgeable, and I enjoyed a beer during my shopping experience. Will return when in town, and plan on checking out their Cedar Falls location. My shopping partner and myself each spent about $180, and we plan on doing the same in the Cedar Falls store as soon as we can.

Staff was so helpful and kind. We brought in a record we got from another store that was skipping. She checked it out and gave us tips on using a weight on our record player. It totally worked!! Thanks so much for the great advice. Will definitely come back!

Very much like their other shops. Which is a good thing! Fast turn over. Very well organized. Friendly staff, and owner, in this case. Couldn't have picked a better place in Cedar Falls. The tin roofing tile is a nice touch.

Awesome shop! They did a rolling record store that passed through Denver... It was AWESOME! They had a ton of awesome vinyl, including a John Prine vinyl that only could be bough there. I sincerely hope they come back to Denver for another event. Thank you Vinyl Cup!

Vinyl Cup is a great record store. Inventory changes and is updated regularly. There is a smooth progression from premium to discount items and there is something for every collector’s tastes. Bravo, VC!

I've found some really great used vintage vinyl while browsing through the bins at Vinyl Cup Records. They even took the time to play a track that I thought might skip. Great staff and selection!

This place: well organized, super friendly, and not at all judgemental when your purchases range from embarrassing to eclectic. My go-to vinyl shop whenever I get a need for new vinyl (that I rarely even open!)

I recently moved to the Cedar Falls/ Waterloo area and just wondered in curious. Now I have a small collection of great albums thanks to the awesome staff of the Vinyl Cup.

Very big selection of all different kinds of music. Went in twice, 4 days apart, and there were more albums available on my second trip.

Love this place. Staff is so help and friendly, plus they offer you a beverage when you shop there. It's so great!
