A very spectacular and hands down the best hobby shop in the Midwest! The owners are very friendly and always have a smile one their face. A lot of selections to choose from, and they even have a Model Railroad Club layout in the basement!

Carol and Merlin have a very fun model train store. Great people for the model train hobbiests.

The best prices, hands down I think in the Midwest. Many railroad books, both old and new. Lots of HO, O, and N scale cars and locomotives. Every Wednesday on YouTube, they show off what they have, and you can live chat if you want to purchase what they show. They will ship to your address. Great small business attitude, I have been going here for years.

Carol and Merlyn have been running this shop for many years! And the enthusiasm and dedication to the trains has not stopped! This place is literally packed with trains, every time I go there I always find something new. A great place for beginners to start the hobby or for experienced train folks to get the latest and greatest trains. Although they do not have a website, they do take phone orders for pickup and they ship as well. I would HIGHLY recommend that you check out their YouTube Videos called virtual visits where they keep you up to date on the store and show you a taste of what they have in stock!

It really doesnt get much better than this. They have an excellent selection from brand new just released ro old and used. The first place I always go for my Rock Island railroad stuff. Prices are outstanding, akd staff is pretty freindly. If you cant find something, Carol usually can if you give her a couple minutes to look around. Not really a negative thing but its very easy to get lost and loose track of time in here. Recomend opening the boxes on the used freight cars as they usually contain a car diffrent from what was originally in it. If you are ever in the area its definitely worth stopping by and taking a look

Excellent shop to work with. Owners have an excellent knowledge of products in all scales. They are more than willing to try and find just about anything related to model railroads. Communication is great. Pricing is very competitive. Also have a variety of very nice pre-owned equipment.

This is the go to place for model railroaders for every guage. They deal exclusively with railroad stuff both new and preowned. They will take trades and buy your collection too. If they don't have it, they'll get it. They do a weekly live video on their Youtube channel so you can get some great deals online.

This place has everything, and I mean everything Trains, from z to g gauge. If Carol does not have it, she can order it. She is friendly and will give you extra discounts. A very wide variety of used and new, all at discount prices.

Love this shop, have so many boxes of rolling stock, engines, track and structures that others have discarded but now have given another enthusiast the chance to recreate those items on their own layout. I have spent hours on several occasions just browsing and daydreaming over these items. Great place to visit, buy and relax.

Caboose Stop has a litte bit - (or should I say a lot?) of everything. Anything you need for your hobby train needs plus a great staff willing to help the seasoned train collector or a novice like me. It's easy to spend hours there looking at their items for sale, the historic displays throughout the store, or just talking to the staff and other collectors who come through the doors.

Very friendly service and a very large selection of many different gauges. Found quite a few cars and a nice GP9 loco .
