This was my first time at this Toy Joy location. They have cute toys and games. Also, I like their little chocolate and drink café area. Very cute. I had a hazlenut truffle and a lavender Italian cream soda. Very tasty.

It was so hard to leave this place! As soon as we stepped inside, we felt like kids again. So many cool bionicles and action figures, unique toys from all over. They also have a candy shop, where we got some truffles. Delicious!

New location is so nice. All of the stuff of the old location but in a rad new building. There are also a lot more grown up collectables. They’ve also expanded their games section and imaginary play toys. They had a bunch of Tender Leaf toys which are the really high quality wooden imaginary play toys, such as a blender, coffee maker, etc. You do pay a little premium here, but it’s a small local business so I get it. Looks like they might be adding back the ice cream too!

Toy shop that opened 2 weeks ago!! It caught our attention because of its colorful pink exterior, we decided to come check it out. I believe there’s a ice cream shop next to it as well. There are SO MANY TOYS, collectibles, board games, unique finds, stuffed animals, etc — you name it. We had so much fun browsing the store and bought a few things. This is definitely where you want to come find a birthday gift for someone!

Honestly such a fun place to see all the toys available. They even have a lot of anime merchandise too. Some of them are actually pretty cool but pricey. In the back, there’s a small bakery options with pasty, drinks, and ice cream. Their ice cream flavors are actually unique and more Asian Inspired than the classic American basic flavorings. They let you try them, and they’re yummy!

I have been going to toy Joy since they first opened there are original location on Guadalupe and was concerned about whether or not the relocated site would be as amazing, but without hesitation I can say that toy joy remains one of the best toy stores in the entire world.

So many toys!!! Itsy bitsy tiny ones to big and fluffy huggable ones. I got a drug store blind box, cowboy stickers, and a peas in a pod fidget. The bag they put toys in is very cute too! Even if you don't want to buy anything, this place is very fun to go with friends to window shop!

We love this toy store. We try to go once every month to see what’s new! If you go every first Sunday then you get a certain percentage off blind boxes. I forgot how much lol. If you open blind boxes and want to switch out for something on display, then they are more than happier to help you. Very sweet workers and shop owners. We have been to the downtown location, but this one is our favorite! Thanks y’all!

Great customer service at this location! The best place to find gifts for adults and kids, or something for yourself! I messaged them through Google maps to see if they carry stickers and they replied within the hour. They have a great sticker selection, btw. When I was in store, the manager and other employee helped me to find what I "needed". It's always fun to visit especially since I live out of state. If you live in Austin, please visit this store!!!

I just went to the new store on Burnet and it is awesome. I had not been to Toy Joy since it was near the University. At that location it was cute and quirky, now it is beyond awesome. It has something for everyone from 8 months old to over 80 years old (me). It was a lot of fun just browsing the store. I will be back just to reminisce and to get things for my children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. I just wish the would open a store in far south Austin. What a joy.

This might be my favorite place in Austin, no joke. It is wonderful. I wish it was a little cheaper, but I'm not complaining, it could be a lot worse. Don't get me wrong, the prices aren't outrageous or anything I just LOVE everything in it and want all of it. As others have said, the new location is great, I loved the last location but parking was a monster. At the airport location parking is a breeze and there is a cool vintage store next door called Newbo. The center it is in also features Sweet Rituals vegan ice cream shop, a great vape shop, All About Vape, Dominos, The Omelettry, and The Grand a cool pool hall/bar as well as several other businesses that I have not been to. Oh and In and Out Burger is the next business over. So make an afternoon of it.

I've been shopping & playing at Toy Joy since the early 90's. I can spend hours in there just checking out all the toys and collectors items. It's a great place to loose track of time....

Wow, this is hands down the best toy store I've ever been in. The variety of toys is perfect. They have everything from high end collectables, to gag gifts. Books, trinkets, plushies, cards, boardgame, you name it and they most likely will have it.
The store even has a candy shop portion. I dont think there is a better combination of stores.
The prices are more than fair, and there is bound to be something that catches your eye. A great places for gifts, or just a leisurely gander.

i've never had anything bad to say about either Toy Joy locations in Austin, but this specific location i went to on my last trip to Austin was so kind to me and my friend when my car wouldn't start in their parking lot. two of their employees (i'm so sorry i didn't ask your names!) helped us get cars moved around in the lot so one employee could pull up next to us to try to jump start my car. they stood outside with us for like 30 minutes trying to help and asked us to keep them updated when they had to go back inside the store. thank you so much for your kindness!! we did make it back home safe and sound. :3 i'll be sure to visit again soon and maybe be able to thank you in person.

Great store for random and licensed toys, plushies, and pins. Large selection of statuettes, and there is also a book corner.
