Hy-Vee Wine & Spirits

Just opened in Dec. 2020, this is the best liquor store in East Metro by far!! I walked in and was impressed! The selection is the greatest by far that I've seen in area. Right off Hwy 36 and White Bear Ave. Ever want to buy individual bottles of beer? Here you can. They sell craft beers and long-time national favorites by the bottle. There's also a carrier for 6 if you want to pick up a variety pack. They have a vast array of wines, spirits, beer and glasses & other accessories to complete your trip. They have carriers for 6 wine bottles; when you buy 6, you get a discount. Even an enclosed cigar section to walk through. They carry some spendy top of the line champagne too for toasting in the New Year's. Can't wait for the grocery store & gas station to open in 2021 to make it a shopping trifecta.

Easily the best Hy-Vee liquor store around. They've got more space than most, and they don't waste space on mountains of cheap and flavorless beer, or an entire aisle devoted to every IPA under the sun.

The selection here is fantastic. They have a nice balance in their selection that few places manage to achieve. Sure they have some of the light beers and cheap wines, but they also have more craft beers than you're likely to find anywhere else nearby. If you're a fan of barrel-aged beer or wine, this is the place to go. It's the only place I've ever had the "problem" of having so many excellent barrel-aged options I had a hard time deciding which ones to get.
All of this is available at prices that rival the giant warehouse stores, without the endless wandering to find what you want.

The people who work here are helpful and friendly, and while they don't tend to be experts in all things alcoholic, they do a good job of knowing what is in stock and where on the shelf it is. You may not get recommendations for the perfect wine pairing, but if you know what you want, it won't take long to find it.

As a final extra bonus here, they have some of the best tobacco prices around. Lower than the tobacco shops in the area. Even slightly lower than the prices across the border in Wisconsin.

Two thumbs way up to the manager here. This is one of the most well-run establishments of any kind I've seen in recent years.

Great selection of pretty much everything at decent prices, and the staff is friendly. I recently moved to this area, and Hy-Vee Wine & Spirits has quickly become my liquor store of choice.

Just went here for the first time and loved it! It's clean, organized, had a ton of variety, prices were reasonable and the real highlight was the staff. The two guys that were there were friendly and when we said how nice the store was, you could tell they took a lot of pride in keeping it that way.
