I also adore that they seem to focus on wines from smaller vineyards over the mass-produced.

A delightful local store full of well sourced wines, beers, and other delightful drinks. We will be frequenting here more going forward, especially for wine tasting Fridays!

Greg and Troy are very knowledgeable about wine and other beverages!! It is a very well stocked store with some unique wines and Bourbons that you won't find other places. It's nice too that they are mindful of the customers price point and make great recommendations when trying to pair a wine to a meal at home.

Greg, the owner, is fantastic to chat with about wine. His and his distributors carry a lot of knowledge about every bottle. The free tastings don’t hurt.

This is easily my favorite wine and spirits shop. I have never had a bad recommendation. Go in and talk with Greg, tell him what you plan to make for dinner and you'll walk out with a perfect pairing. If you haven't been there yet, you really ought to check it out!

This is the old style shopping experience, Greg knows everyone who enters his vine store- I love it. The selection is special, completely different then all big wine stores. Greg Varner is experienced and has been in Excelsior for about 20 years. Great selection of wines, frequent tastings, and a comfortable atmosphere. Also, his manager, Susan, has lived in the wine country, worked for a distributor and is very nice and knowledgeable about wines. Their location is right off Hwy 7 with easy on-off access. Go!...and say Trader Bill sent ya...they will either welcome you or ban you...LOL.

Greg has been around a long time, and really knows his products: wine, beer and spirits. I've been dealing with him since he first opened his shop in Excelsior many years ago. Fair prices, unique products. I drive 35 miles to buy from this guy. Highest recommendation.

Love this little gem amid all the larger options. So educated and prices are competitive. Greg is very generous to local parish events. We will keep promoting Excelsior Vintage!!!

Greg is a wine expert and a gourmand, a great combination. He is never at a loss to suggest a fine pairing. Also a very nice man, backed up by a good team.

Every time I come here I get a personal experience. I love the tastings and the personal recommendations from the staff. If you're having an event they'll even suggest food to pair with your wine!
