Giant Food

Great selections today unlike when I go to Safeway, I found all I need and even got affordable lunch meat at the boars head deli counter. Thank you Giant for always having what I need when I go there.

Excellent customer service and groceries. Thanks for making it a pleasure to do business with you. With my busy lifestyle, it's a great advantage to shop online and that employees pick out the items with care and attention.

One of very few grocery stores open past 10pm. This is very helpful when items are needed late at night. Store is always clean and organized. I have, and will remain a loyal Giant Food Shopper, going on for over 35 years. Keep up the good work, and friendliness.

Giant Food store in La Plata is awesome to shop at in the evening. I'm almost the only person there in the 8 to 10 pm timeframe. Super clean store. Friendly staff. ALWAYS have a person working a check out line not just self check out option,at least when I'm there shopping. Great job Giant Team!

This is my favorite grocery store in the area. The staff are very helpful to customers especially to the instacart shoppers. May this grocery store’s manager and supervisor will continue to perform an orientation to all of their employees to be helpful , friendly and keeping up high customer service.

Great clean grocery store near my Brand new home. Super excited to go back each week. They're making me like Giant all over again. Found Great quality meat. Even found rare meat I dnt normally find.

First time at this Giant. Fresh produce, not very crowded and the check out staff very friendly. A small-town feeling is what I like. It’s just a tad further, but I may make this my go-to store from now on.

Definitely my preferred Giant in the area, and the best grocery store. They aren't the largest location but it's very clean, employees are nice, and it's rarely too busy. While I realize it's a pretty new building, it would be nice to see some updating to be more inline with the style of the Waldorf location. Not a complaint, but a lot of the concieved premium stores now look like that. Still, this is the better one.

Hate going to the grocery store but do love going to this Giant! The employees there are so kind and helpful! The employee who checked me out was so kind, ethusiastic and just full of energy! We had a great conversation and she told me she was a preschool teacher, God bless her! There definitely need to be more people in the world just like her!

I can be found here at least once a week. By far the best location in the area. Decent produce and meat selection. Even though they have self checkouts they always have ample registers open for full service, and I often go in the evenings. I must warn you, many of the customers are directionally challenged. During these times of Covid-19 they have arrows in the aisles to keep everyone moving in the same direction. Some people don't get the concept. Just wave and smile at the ones that are going the wrong way - as you pass them in every aisle. Jesus loves them too. 😀

Giant Food in La Plata has always maintained cleanliness, stocked product and great customer service from it's opening. I often stop by to grab a few items and have always found what I needed. The staff speaks to you even when you aren't in line for service. The parking lot is always clear of used shopping baskets. It's a huge plus to have a PNC branch attached to this location as it makes it convenient to shop and bank in one location. This is one of the better Giant Locations as it's newer, fully stocked and great customer service.

I have moved back in the area and have been disappointed with the quality of food in the area. The food here is of great quality and the service is great. Curbside pick up is excellent
The associate (i forgot his name :() is courteous and nice. I have done a lot of curbside at various stores, including lowes, target and safeway in Laplata, and food curbside in laplata and Waldorf and wegmans in VA) and he is the best.

I have shopped in store and it is clean, organized and the associates are nice. More importantly, they're veggies are fresh. I buy arugla often and the giant brand and Bright Farms brand are great. I have been to both laplata and Waldorf safeways and their arguala, romaine and other veggies have been wilted significantly lately.

Anyway, I highly recommend this store.

Covid Safe Practices and they still have some cashiers, not all of them have been replaced by self check out, Thankfully. While we need to preserve jobs in the area, it was odd that my cashier didn't speak to me until it was time to get my receipt but at that point at least she did say have a great evening, I've never heard self check out give me well wishes 😀.
