Veranda Asian Market

I visited this for the first time and purchased some items at random that I wanted to try. The staff was very helpful in helping me find things and I was happy with everything that I purchased and tried. I will definitely be going back when I'm in the area.

Very good banh mi sandwiches. I am a first generation asian-american and my family has eaten here plus many other places and we all agree that it's some of the best banh mi in Maine.

Great selection, excellent produce. Their Bahn Mi is pretty delicious too despite primarily being a grocery store.

I loved it. I can find groceries and vegetables i love back home. It's a bit far from where we live but it's worth it.

This place is awesome! So many different things to choose from, including meats and vegetables, lots of frozen items and different styles of Asian candy and seasonings. Very friendly staff, a little cramped, but only because they put so many things under one roof.

Well organized Asian market with dry goods, canned goods, condiments, noodles, tea (including Thai tea), frozen food and produce. There's also fermented stuff like kimchi and Asian pickled vegetables. Looks a lot like an Asian market you would find in a Chinatown, or in Honolulu. A lot of items did not have visible prices.
Veranda Asian Market has a parking lot, and is across the street from a Vietnamese restaurant.

Excellent selection of Vietnamese and Thai cooking ingredients. Store is a bit crowded but definitely have what you need. Store is generally busy. Which is a good sign.

Veranda Asian market is by far the best Asian grocer in this area. We make an effort to stop by anytime we're in Portland, simply because of the great selection at this grocery and the great prices. You can't beat it!

Great grocery store. Friendly staff. Good selection of products; but not consistent in keeping certain items stocked: personally, use to purchase the Sour & Sweet Hi-Chew from this store.. but the last few times I've come for groceries, that particular item was not in stock. But overall great place.

Having spent 18 years in the Asian epicenter, Flushing (Queens), NY, I have an appreciation for Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese provisions. This food products location offers a nice selection to the Greater Portland community. I like the persimmons when they are available. Kim Chi is decently priced. Sesame balls and pork buns (baos) are a nice occasional treat. Many other products to select including some of the canned exotic fruits of Thailand. The staff is very industrious but pleasant when engaged.
