Big Y World Class Market

Way better than stop and shop. The quality of their prepared foods is second to none, especially the fish and chips. Shelves are always clean and well stocked. I can't even begin to count how many times I had to return out of date food at stop and shop.......

Love Big Y. It's not Wegmans, but it comes a close second. Big variety of items to choose from. Produce is always fresh. Staff is friendly. The only suggestion is to get True Moo Chocolate Milk. It's does not have high fructose corn syrup and is very yummy. Plus lower the prices on ice cream. I can get Friendly's ice cream out of state cheaper than in MA.

Amazing job from the bakery! I cant say thank you enough for the cake they made on short notice for my sons birthday! Came out better than the picture! And tasted amazing too!

Could be good if Big Y install fast charger for EV cars, every time there are more ev cars aroud could be good service for customer and business for Big Y because Cahreger are not free, plus government is providing incentives for ev Cahrger installation. Ev fast Charger could be great!

Great neighborhood grocery market. The staff are friendly, food is fresh, store is clean, and there is always cashiers to get you out quick! Our go to for all the groceries, pizza, and more.

I honestly love big y and their selections are really good, keep an eye out for their butcher, they have amazing pre-seasoned chicken!

Best supermarket in the area. I have a Stop & Shop 2 miles from my home, and I travel 8 miles to Big Y.

Went for lunch and got a couple of grinders.One of the really friendly staff made them to order. My brother and I loved them. The cashier was super nice and the supervisor that came over to was pleasant. I will definitely go there again before I leave Massachusetts.

The Pharmacy Manager, Michael is very personable like a small hometown drugstore. I like the South Hadley Big Y location as they carry all the groceries I need even specialty items. The staff is very friendly and the store shelves are always well stocked.

My favorite! The employees are friendly and kind, it's typical for them to chat with my kids during checkout. Good selection of produce. Also I like getting $0.25 off gas just for my regular grocery shopping. I love that they dont use plastic bags. I finally got reusable ones and they're useful for way more than grocery shopping. Super cheap too!

Clean, well stocked. Fresh produce. Local asparagus. Had to go to the customer service desk where I was treated courterously and taken care of quickly. Finished my shopping. Asked where an time was and was given an accurate reply. Specials were advertised and well stocked. Had a quick lunch from their sub/sandwich/pizza area. There is an area to sit and eat that is set aside from the main shopping area. Tables and floors were clean but trash needed to be changed. Deli had specials, staff was quick and pleasant. All around a good shopping experience. A bit more expensive than other chains but still my grocery store of choice. Can add to savings by shopping specials and buying store brand products.

There's something about this location that makes it THE "go-to" spot for groceries. It's always clean and organized so you can find your way around easily, but also have peace of mind due to the absence of clutter. The selection is impressive for the grocery side, but the prepared foods side is RIDICULOUSLY delicious. Do not sleep on that pizza or the stromboli, but try one of the abnormally large sub sandwiches if you're feeling frisky.

Clean and well stocked. The butcher shop and seafood Dept. are always helpful and good quality. The best thing about Big Y is that checking out is always easy because there's always plenty of cashiers and baggers. They don't offer a self-scan option because it's an inconvenience to make you scan and bag your own items, and that takes more time!
Bring your own bags because they no longer pollute the earth with plastic one time use bags. You can purchase paper bags if needed.

I'm over 90 years old and grocery shopping isn't exactly a joy walking up and down the long isles. This Big Y store is a more than pleasant experience from the managers to the employees. Special mention to the bakery where they greet you with smiles and all the hugs you'll ever need to make your shopping experience a pleasant one. When my wife hands me a shopping list, even at my age, I'm pleased to go thanks to the Big Y and it's personnel. PS this should get me a gold coin. Amen and God Bless.
