EDIT: I will keep my original review below because I feel like it serves as a fantastic example of how I feel that management should take care of their store. I went back today and was greeted by Tommy, my fiance says he goes here frequently and knows all the guys there, Tommy helped me today pick out a few products placed in various locations of the store without any problems whatsoever, and assisted us in choosing the correct sized items in the store and was friendly and delightful when talking to us, clearly invested in taking the time to hear us and made informed choices to help us get in and out quickly, while not feeling rushed at all. He mentioned that the former employee who had caused the smoke shop to lose a substantial sale the last time I visited was no longer employed there. I was not given any specific reasons, but I can probably assume.. Iwas surprised that he was able to recall my initial, slightly embarrassing 2-star review and follow up with me personally on it. The two people working tonight seemed like fantastic staff, the store was great as always, and I think they deserve a 5-star review now that they got rid of the classroom bully. 😉

Two stars because of the great selection and good prices. That's all I can say that's positive as me and my boyfriend just got rushed out of the store because we were browsing. I looked at the glass and a dude with tan skin and a beard rushed me out of the back because I wanted my boyfriend to look at a piece I picked out before I bought it. He said if I wasn't ready to buy glass to "go help your confused boyfriend" then told my boyfriend that he needed to hurry up because there were more customers and not to spend 20 or 30 minutes inside the store. (We have been inside maybe 5 minutes at this point) Before we came my boyfriend called to ask about product availability and the same guy said "We have lots of products, come in and look for yourself" But when we came in to look for products, we got pushed out of the store because we wanted to consider our options first? Good job av tobacco. You lost $100+ in sales by disrespecting your customers and by literally RUSHING us out of the store. I don't think I'll be back. You guys lost two very loyal customers today. The owner should be ashamed of this level of customer service.

Amy and Tommy are the BEST! They both remember repeat customers, know every single piece that is in that store, and are more than happy to help you find something that speaks to you. Other employees have come and gone who try to rush you out of the store as quickly as possible, but not these two. You can tell they love what they do and that is SO RARE these days. Thank you both - you make the drive up from Northfield worth it!

Whenever I make a stop at AV Tobacco I hope he's working because he's very knowledgeable and has the best recommendations. There's also no feeling of being rushed or forced into a sale you might not enjoy. He always suggests great disposables, which isn't easy to do in such an overly-saturated market. I guarantee it's very much appreciated by all the customers, maybe not your vendors when you sell out!

Nicest staff I’ve ever encountered at a smoke shop. Had visiting friends from out of town with a LOT of questions about the different delta strains and they were patient & helpful. Also gave great recommendations and a few samples for things we hadn’t tried. Definitely will be back!!

I live in Minneapolis but always come down here because of the vast selection your store offers. I just recently got a new vape battery that Tahnee said she really liked because of the size and style. I was skeptical to get that one because it has a magnetic cartridge piece attachment and I was afraid I’d lose it but she assured me it was a nice strong magnet and it also comes with a second piece in the box. I got it and so happy I did. It’s the perfect pocket size and you can’t accidentally torch your cartridge in your pocket because there isn’t a button to press to heat it up. You just inhale and it turns on to do it’s thing.
The employees here are really fun and offer great service, especially Tahnee. She is always so helpful and has a great attitude towards customers so I’m happy when she’s working when I come in. You can just feel how genuine she is when she talks to you.
So, even though it’s a 30 min drive for me it’s worth it for the huge selection and fantastic service I get that keeps me coming back.

Great customer service. Needed help and was clueless on refillable vapes and the employee behind the counter I wish I took his name was very knowledgeable and helpful he even helped me set it up and showed me how to properly use my new vape. Totally recommended!

Had a really great experience with Amy. Her beaming personality was very positive and she took the time to help me find the right parts and juice for each specific device of mine. I'll be sure to come back for more strawberry custard!

This shop is the best around. It’s large, has a huge variety, super clean and quick service. It’s always clean and well organized. A huge pro here is the lighting, lots of smoke shops are dark and look kinda dumpy, but this one definitely isn’t that at all. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a new quality vape with knowledgeable staff. Plus the incense are awesome!

There's a great selection of products so many to choose from and they have nice customer service. I had an issue with being overcharged and they helped me out very patiently.

The staff is always awesome! They go above and beyond to see if they have a product in stock even if it's not on the shelves. Very friendly and always happy to see you!

Wow your double AA team is the best. Ashley helped me find a cigar that I've been searching for quite sometime. After having a very bad experience at another tobacco shop, it was very refreshing to be greeted with a smile and professionalism as soon as I walked threw the door by Ashley. I will definitely be back on a regular basis thanks to you Ashley;)

The coolest, friendliest and most helpful staff of any place I've been. And they have a big selection of vapes, juices, torch lighters, glass, etc. Also has my favorite walk in humidor to come to. Very well maintained. One thing I think they could improve on however is not closing early. There have been multiple occasions where I arrived 5 to 10 minutes before closing, to find that they had already closed the store down. Other than that, it's great! My favorite tobacco shop!

I've never had any problems here, nor have I ever not been asked to show my I.D. Not sure whats up with the reviews below mine, just sounds like people having a bad holiday. All staff are always friendly and always informative. Keep on keeping on Apple Valley Tobacco, fair priced and always have what I need.

Their glass selection is second to none. Huge room full of anything glass you want including some beautiful specialty stuff. They also have all the bits and pieces like adapters, rubber grommets etc. Well worth the half hour drive.

This store is amazing! Been going here for years. Amy (days) always remembers my name and products I buy. She makes a point to ask me how I am every time and in watching she makes every customer feel welcome. Jon, Jack and Rob are the most knowledgeable employees that take the time to explain things down to every last detail. I look forward to going every time. Awesome products too. Hands down a "must" visit!
