What a neighborhood gem. Great beer and wine selection, very friendly family owned, and the Wednesday Eritrean food deserves a full culinary write up on a front page somewhere.

Better known as Shaw Market. Yes, it's a corner store where you can stop for a pack of smokes, "penny candy", a can of Vess soda, or an item for forgot for dinner. But there's more! The owners, Behre and Ghenet, are the kindest people I've ever met. This is a great place to stop for a nice selection of craft beer and wine on the way to the Wednesday night Whitaker Music Festival concerts at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. They also have incredible food from their home of Eritrea on Wednesdays. Generous portions for cheap, vegan or with goat meat.

Super convenient neighborhood grocery store and deli. I live nearby and I can get almost everything I need with just a short walk down the street. Prices are awesome too.
