I really love this couple. They are so nice and so helpful. I’m glad I was able to get a lot of the things I was looking for: Royal Red Stew Sauce, Egusi Seeds, Fish, Ugu Leaves (Pumpkin Leaves), Seasoning Cubes, Palm Oil (I wish I would have gotten second container), Adobo Seasoning, and few other things. I came all of the way from North Carolina and I strongly recommend them

I love this store! The owner is so nice and helpful. I’ve been to several African Markets before and in my experience sometimes African Americans are treated differently when embracing the culture. Here, this store is NOT like that. I wasn’t born in Africa but my partner was and I’ve been around African culture for years and I love it! The prices are great and he knows exactly where everything is located! I will drive 30 mins to this location because of the customer service I received! Customer service is everything to me!

I really enjoy this place, a surprising variety of products all fresh and well packaged. A nice experience and great service as well. Will be shopping here more in the future

Cute store they had the cassava flour I wanted, the casava leaves the oil, the peanuts powder and customer service was great, I got the help I needed to find what I was looking for, had a great conversation with the vendor. Overall it is a great experience and great products. I am not familiar with the prices in the area but I think the prices where not high so don't take my word and go check it and enjoy their food.

I love this store ! The only authentic store that sells the best stuff from the motherland 💕😀. The owner is extremely friendly and giggly he makes you feel right at home and helps you out with the stuff that you need for whatever Meal you want example Egusi Soup ingredients... He is Good energy and he passed the vibe check the music even makes you want to dance 😂. You’ve gained a loyal customer Forever in the 757 Area thank you for looking out for us !

I’ve lived in the Newport News area for about 2 years now. I’ve always had to go pretty far for some ingredients to make African dishes. I finally came across Ubbego international store and it’s been such a convienient discovery. Although the owners are Nigerians’ they are very aware of the diverse cultures in Africa and hold great insight on preparing many African dishes. I was looking for an ingredient and he didn’t have it, I asked him about it and the next time I went there it was there. If you ever want to explore African dishes they will take the time and help you. I always expect to learn a few things any time I visit. Thank you!!!

Visited a few months back. Customer service was excellent. He was very friendly and helpful, even made a couple of suggestions!

I was considered because it was small but I found more than I was looking for even better I talked with who was working 💜he made me feel comfortable that I told him stuff and he showed me what I was looking for and told me what I did not know yet 💜 I will definitely drive two cities away just to shop and learn again 💜💜💜
