I recently visited Food Lion and was truly impressed by the outstanding service provided by the young man in the meat department. His dedication to customer satisfaction and his knowledge about the products made my shopping experience exceptional.

From the moment I approached the meat counter, he greeted me with a friendly smile and genuine enthusiasm. His willingness to assist was evident as he patiently answered my questions about some various cuts of meat and even provided valuable cooking tips. It's not often that you find someone who is not only knowledgeable but also eager to share their expertise.

What stood out even more was his attention to detail. He carefully helped me select the perfect cut for my specific recipe, ensuring that I left the store with exactly what I needed. His professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile truly set him apart.

The cleanliness and organization of the meat department also deserve mention. The displays were well-maintained and the products were neatly arranged, making it easy for customers to browse and make their selections.
In a world where exceptional customer service is sometimes hard to come by, the young man in the meat department at Food Lion shines as a prime example of how dedication and passion can elevate a shopping experience. Kudos to him and the entire store team for creating such a positive environment. I will definitely be returning for my future grocery needs! Highly recommended!

Exceptional. It's very hard these days to find workers like Jimmy at the FL on Oriana who not only likes their job but knows their
department and the products in it. He was very helpful in taking time from his break to educate me on bacon.

Guy in line behind me (rudely) asked the cashier, "[Name] working today?"

Cashier: "Why?"

Guy: "Because I wanna know!"

Cashier: "Well, I don't have to tell you."

Good on that cashier for looking out for her coworker's privacy and safety.

My local. People are always friendly and helpful. Especially the Scottish gentleman. Always very helpful.

When shopping at this location there's always enough cashier to be able to accommodate there customers.

The manager at customer service Mrs Brunette was very nice. I hope I have her name right. I came in on Monday 05/29/23 at 2:30pm. She had to juggle customer services as well as register 1 full service with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. We need more managers like her in this world.

I shop here every day or every other day due to having a large family. The associate's are VERY nice and helpful. My shopping experience is always pleasant here. Great selection of produce and always have discounted meats.

UPDATE: A LOT OF ASSOCIATES HAVE TRANSFERRED OVER TO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS BUT THE FEW THAT REMAIN ARE THE BEST! ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS ONE OF THE MANAGER'S (OLDER SHORT AFRICAN AMERICAN LADY) IS A *****! SHE ALWAYS HAVE SUCH A ANNOYANCE DEMEANOR AND IS VERY IMPATIENT! MRS.CAROL,MRS.CYNTHIA AND BRETT ARE THE ONLY MANAGERS REMAINING THAT KEEPS THAT STORE RUNNING! THEY ARE THE TRUE DEFINITION OF CUSTOMER SERVICES REPS. THE BAKERY IS SLACKING BIG TIME! IT'S ONLY ONE ASSOCIATE ( MRS.MARGIE) THAT KEEPS THE BAKERY GOODS "EDIBLE". I HAD MADE A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE COCONUT PECAN COOKIES BEING CONSISTENTLY BURNT AND MRS.MARGIE WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO MAKE ME FIVE BOXES TO COME PURCHASE THE VERY NEXT DAY! Great store, very clean. Large parking lot with plenty of room for an RV, trailer, or tractor trailer. Very handicap friendly. Great beer selection. Well kept meat, produce, dairy, and deli departments.

We ordered a cake for my daughter's 15th birthday. When I arrived to pick up the cake, it wasn't there. The store had lost electricity and the order was lost. Junior, the manager of the deli/bakery was very apologetic. He found a cake that survived the blackout, wrote a happy birthday message on it, and gave it to me with no charge. I was so grateful! I will definitely order any future cakes from this store.

I'm weary of a great review cause I'd hate to bring in people from outside our community to challenge us for our limited grocery options, but they deserve the stars. We've lapsed our costco membership, quit walmart, and avoid the Aldis cause we just prefer our well stocked diamond in the rough. Staff is kind and they care about this neighborhood.

I really enjoy going to this Food Lion on Oriana Road in Newport News.. The staff that work in the meat and deli departments are so patient, helpful and friendly. The store is clean, organized, well lite and pleasant to shop in. If you can not find or realize you've forgotten an item at check out, there is always assistance available. I have never had a problem with food or other products being expired, not being fresh or over pricing. Great job is being done by management and staff. Thank All Of You.

Foodlion always has better deals towards the end of every month ...

The guy at the express check out helped me out get my discount. The Oscar Myer was on sale and he fixed the price at the register. Good customer look out. I appreciate it

Excellent customer service.. horrible outside appearance it seems the shopping center does not care about their parking lots or their customers entering the area, but once you enter food Lion it's a nicely kept up store with great service when needed

I usually have a good experience going to this food lion. Today just because of (I sincerely apologize for not knowing her name) cashier 215. One she is not just a number and should have her name on the receipts as well as Travis. The people in front of me where super rude but ms. 215 kept on smiling and being polite like I've never seen. Even her body language showed positivity with not am ounce of attitude shown. This is now my favorite food lion. Thank you dear and merry Christmas. From the girl with the Santa hat you liked.

Although it was the end of the night and I did self checkout the young lady closing the denbigh Blvd food Lion was super awesome.

Found everything I needed in stocks. All shelves were well stocked. Associates were courteous. They had great deals on some extras that I bought too.
