Little Popcorn Store

This place hasn't changed a bit since I visited as a kid 30+ years ago. My kids enjoyed the experience as well. However we waited 30 minutes in line to enter the store as a summer camp arrived in front of us. Various candies at different prices for all budgets. Decent popcorn as well.

Just took my ten year old here for her first visit and I had not been there in about 12 years. I love that the place has not changed, and prices barely went up if they did at all it was not noticable. Very cool little long skinny candy shop (old fashioned cheap candy you buy by the piece) and my daughter loved filling her little paper bag with candies. She also is crazy for popcorn so of course we got the large bag (it's probably about a pound size) which was under $3. Total spent for us both with popcorn was only $17 after tax.

The smallest candy store I have ever seen. Boyfriend's childhood memory turned into a tradition when we're in town !

Always consistently excellent from the popcorn to the friendliness of the staff. Popcorn prices are great and they have a variety of sizes from just a snack to a huge party bag. Huge selection of candy with hard to find favorites from my youth. Love everything about this store. Please don't change a thing.

Best candy shop in America. Old candy, new candy. Boom, it's all here. The prices went up, but to be fair it felt like they hadn’t changed in 20 years.

And now, I think there is a "one family in at a time " rule. I get it, but having groups smoosh and find their way will be a fun, awkward memory for the older people on here lol

This place is very popular for being a cute and charming candy shop but the popcorn is good too. One large popcorn will be enough for you and 4-5 people..it’s great and for only $3.75 too. Don’t sleep on the popcorn.

No trip to Wheaton is complete without a trip to the Popcorn Store! This store is a cute little shop built in an alley between two stores and sells affordable candy and delicious popcorn. As a kid it was my favorite store to go to to get candy and as an adult I still enjoy it!

My kids love getting to pick out their own candy. They each got 6 pieces and thought it was so fun, and it was only about $2. Next time I'll direct them toward more of the chocolate & chewy ones, though, as opposed to the crunchy and minty ones.

Always a fun place to stop when in Downtown Wheaton. Such a unique store that was made in an alley. Be sure to grab a bag of popcorn or some candy!

The Popcorn Shop is owned and run by William Wakefield. This was a popular snack stop for commuters returning from work, when the railroad station was right across the street, and continues.

Occupying the space Between two businesses, it offers the best popcorn available, and needs no butter! Even from this butter lover, this is So good, it really does not! They also offer the largest assortment of "penny candy", in old fashioned jars, just within reach of the kids, whose eyes are always as wide as saucers, when they walk in.

Many of William's friends and classmates were young customers in our youth and continue to make certain that we stop by whenever we return to Wheaton.

Now celebrated as an historical icon, the Popcorn Shop continues to make memories in the youngest children.

Amazing candy and popcorn selection. I don’t know how they do it but their popcorn is good for days. The Service and Prices are also excellent.

One of my favorite places in Wheaton! It’s such a hidden gem! They have a great selection of candy and the popcorn is amazing. It’s classic popcorn that taste good without too much frills.

My daughter and I have started taking walks to the "treat store" as she likes to call it. Tons of great choices of classic and new candy. The popcorn is also phenomenal and the prices are all great! Glad to have this literal hole in the wall just down the block! Check it out of you're looking for some delicious treats!

There is not a store like this anywhere in the world. A converted alleyway into the cutest candy store ever. Their selection offers old time candy, classic favorites, fresh popcorn and soft drinks. To top it all off, there address is simply the best, 111 1/4!

I remember when we had a field trip to the popcorn place when I was in 1st or 2nd grade. It was the best field trip ever because.. well of the memories we made there! We were also we the best teacher which made it 10x better. GO THERE! The staff are amazing!
